This is a 1989 Mazda RX7. THIS CAR HAS A 5 SPD TRANSMISION AND IS NOT AN AUTOMATIC, EBAY LISTING GLITCH. This model has all the extras that came with the GXL. My aim was to make the care a street/track car but time has been tough to come by. The motor is new and has less then 500mi on it. All the smog stuff is gone and the intake has been re plumbed. I put new injectors in as much vacuum lines as I need now and new spark plug cables. All the oil plumbing has been switched to braded steel and the cooler flushed. New after mkt catalytic converters went on with the new motor and a new O2 sender. The suspension is all new with KYB AGX shocks and TEIN S Tech Lowering Springs. The front sway bar has been changed to 1.25 inch and all the front bushings are urethane. I put on a set of the convertable BBS rims and have four orig. hub caps. The cars interior has been stripped and all the plastic parts have been cleaned and are in a box. I have a new carpet kit for it padding and shift boot. The driver’s side door has a dent in it but I have a straight freshly painted door to replace it. With this project I planed on doing some other mods along the way so I have been collecting parts so I have tons of spares, including (but I am sure I have forgotten some.) One is a limited slip Drive shaft Fenders Doors 1990 intake 1990 Tail lights Front light pods Oiling lines Misc. relays Switches Hardware Igniters Spare set of BBS rims with race tires mounted Problems The oil injection pump leaks a very little bit – not enough to see on the dip stick but on the driveway Third gear clunks sometimes and may need syncros The gas hatch opener needs to be adjusted The paint from the b pillar back has some spots were it is separating from the primer The car is fun to drive and has tons of power. I currently have it registered in Montana until Oct. I would be happy to up it for another year at the winner’s expense.
