In 2004 Ford released the new body style F150s and discontinued the famous Ford Lightning. Being that I used to drive a Lightning, I fell in love with those trucks, but there was always one problem. There was never enough room! So I set out on a mission, to build a new body style truck that was similar in performance to a Lightning but also had enough room to be functional. This is what I came up with. The truck is a 2004 Ford F150 XLT Supercrew with the Triton 5.4L engine, now this is where the fun begins. First off the truck had look the part of a performance truck, so here is a list of the exterior modifications: Lowered 2 inches in the front, 4 inches in the backStillin front bumper cover Stull upper & lower billet grills powder coated black CDC shaker intakeFunctional hood, fender, and bed vents by 3D Carbon Shorty antenna Roush tailgate spoiler Smooth painted bed rails Painted FX4 door handles Sport mirrors All emblems shaved Roush rear bumper cover LED blacked out tail lights Harley Davidson headlights (black) 22 inch wheelsNow that the truck looked right on the outside, the interior needed to follow suit, so these mods where made: 4% tint on sides and back, 35% on windshield Kenwood touch screen DVD, MP3, video head unit Pioneer door speakers installed to replace the stock ones Two 10 inch subs under the back seat New black seats Viper remote start alarmNow it's time to back up those looks so I got started with the following performance mods: Roush Supercharger & +2LB lower pulley 39LB Cobra Injectors Aftermarket transmission cooler with fan SCT Tuner Shorty headers Ford racing cat back Built transmission with 2500RPM stall & shift kitWalbro 255 fuel pumpThe Roush supercharger was rated at 412hp in stock form pushing 5 pounds of boost, the new pulley puts it at at least 7 and it can do more with proper tuning. This truck demands attention and gets it everywhere I go. If you don't want to be noticed, this is not the ride for you. This F150 is in amazing shape and is truly one of a kind, however it is a used car and is not perfect and I want to point out any flaw it has to you before you purchase. The truck needs to be dyno tuned, it has a small exhaust leak, and the driver side back bumper cover has a scuff on it where something rubbed against it. Other than that, there are no other known issues. I have just lost interest in it as I recently bought a new stage 3 Roush Mustang. I am the original owner of this truck, and it has never been smoked in. Feel free to ask me any questions regarding that you may have.
