This is an all original, bone stock 1981 Chevy Cheyenne-10 with 108,954 original miles. They don't get more original. She has been in California since new and has a 100% rust free body, chassis, and frame. Original "blue and yellow license plates verify the trucks registration history in California since new. The engine starts right away and sounds very healthy. The idle is great. There is no smoke or strange noises. The truck always runs at cool temperatures. The acceleration is great. The 305 c.i. engine runs strong and accelerates beautifully. The transmission shifts right on time through every gear. The brakes are superb. The truck is in perfect alignment and steers like it should. The suspension feels smooth and comfortable, and doesn't feel like your driving a bouncy old truck. The entire drive train is very solid and firm. All dash readings are normal. Good illumination with dash lights at night, they all work. Factory original "delco" radio also works and sounds good. The mechanical, electrical, and climate control systems are in great shape. The a/c does not work. There is no a/c belt. It either needs a compressor clutch or compressor. The paint finish is all original, absolutely no rust anywhere ever! The original two tone paint finish is in superb condition for being almost 30 years old, and the color combo is very attractive. There are of course dings, scratches, dings, chips, nicks, etc. There is a nice tool box, that opens and latches nicely. The bed has scrapes and scratches, no major damage or dents. Tailgate opens and closes with ease. The interior is very clean with only minor wear. Nice bench seat, carpeting, and headliner. It comes with original tan GM floor mats that have preserved the carpeting well. The dash has a couple of cracks. The overall condition of this truck is outstanding.
