Up for sale in this auction is a rare 1956 Pontiac Starchief Catalina 2 door hardtop. What a great looking car to restore and be as cool as, but different from all the Chevy Bel Airs, Buicks, etc. This was a rare Sandalwood Tan Poly and Sun Beige car. This car does have a title that was last transferred in 1965! The car needs a total restoration. The engine is a 350 out of an ’89 Chevy Van. The transmission, wiring harness, computer etc. are also out of the ’89 Chevy Van. The body, floor pans, frame, etc. are all solid, but it is starting to get some bubbling under the paint and some surface rust. (Cheap paint job done a few years ago to try to prevent rust). The front windshield is broken. The right front window is cracked. The original radiator is gone, but the radiator from the van is included. As best as I can read the tag on the firewall, it appears to read: Style No 56-283750; Body No. BT 1769; Trim No. 272; Paint No. NP; Top OC; T856H7031. This car originally had A/C and Leather interior. The original stainless steel fender skirts are in the trunk. There are 4 hubcaps, but they are not correct for this car. The trunk is full of parts.
