Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1993 BMW 325i Sedan with over $10,000 in upgrades (listed below), Making this car "The Ultimate Driving Machine" and still getting 31MPG! Read on. Buy it now or make an offer, but remember others can still buy it now while you wait! I will consider partial or full trades of anything that takes up less space and is of value. (selling car due to move) Use the Make an Offer feature to explain your item and how much extra cash you are willing to add. (See below for an idea of what I would be interested in.) It features: 5 Speed manual transmission Rear Wheel Drive 2.5L Inline 6 Cylinder M50 BMW Motor (One of the longest lasting engines on the planet) 300,000 miles can be expected from this power plant! Black Leather seating Power Windows Power Locks Cruise Control Upgraded "Business Class"CD AM FM Radio Power Mirrors Fold down Rear Seats 31mpg on the highway! Well maintained service history, oil changes EVERY 3,000 miles with factory BMW Synthitic. Power Moon Roof Fog Lights LAST YEARS for the OBD1!! (Most user friendly, modifiable modern BMW computer interface ever made, in most Forums opinion.) NO RUST! Clear Carfax (ran and printed when I bought 7 years ago, verifies I am only 2nd owner) This car is great on gas buts still feels like a race car. If you are considering a Subaru Impreza, Audi A4, Lexus IS300 or even a Kia you should check out some write ups on this car on the web and reconsider! I bought the car from the original owner with 127,000 miles about 8 years ago after searching for 6 months. In 1993 this was the best 3-series you could buy, there was no M3 , 328 or 330, in 1993 this 325i 5 Speed manual was the bad boy on the block. My initial idea was to buy a 1997 or 1998 M3 Sedan and build it the same, but after doing the research I realized this was the better car to build. The E36 M3 Sedans are on the same chassis with a more restrictive computer system, very restricted emissions, even the same basic engine and weighs more. Everything M3 Specific costs twice as much, so I was able to build a better MPG car, with similar hp with a MUCH better suspension for half the price. If you search around anything m-series built like this will cost you 2-3 times more and drive the same. Is the M badge worth paying 2 to 3 times more? I bought an ACS Badge kit (problem solved) from Germany and installed it because this car is modeled after period ACS specs. (minus the $25k 6 speed transmission and $76,000 euro price tag :) The previous owner was the assistant service manager at a BMW dealership and bought it new. He had the car maintained like a clock till I bought it from him. All the work done during his ownership was done by a BMW dealership with BMW parts. He did the normal stuff, like upgrading the water pump, strut mounts, hoses, wheel bearings, also the clutch at 70k and 120k miles. One other nice thing and a major reason I bought the car was it has always been garaged kept. That being the case, during the prior owners time he was able to get the car repainted by BMW to make it mono-chromatic. (all other 93s have gray on the bottom) That being said the car looks very nice fro the age and no one ever thinks it is from the early 90's when they stop and tell me how much they like the car. I bought the car as a Sunday driver, it has never been my main transportation and has never been "put away wet". The car has never been driven in the winter since I have owned it and always garage kept since new. Immediately after taking possession, I went over the car top to bottom. Here is a list of over $10,000 worth of upgrades done to the car ON TOP of the cost of the car and REGULAR maintenance. The following additions were done at 127,000 miles: Suspension: Bilstein PS-3 Coil Over Suspension $2000 Racing Dynamic Front/Rear Sway Bars $400 Performance Street Alignment by International Autos $300 Front/Rear Alloy Strut Braces $200 BMW X-Brace Under-body Chassis Tie $200 Brembo Cross Driller Rotors $500 PBR Performance Brake Pads $100 Braided Stainless Steel rake Lines All four Corners $250 Interior: Bavarian Autosport White Face Gauge Kit $100 Business Class BMW CD PLayer $500 Infinity Powered Subwoofer system inter-graded in to factory stereo $400 Remote Keyless Entry and Alarm System $400 M Roadster Chrome BMW Shift Knob $100 Body: Binno Italian 18" Alloy Wheels $1200 Color Matched LED Rear Brake Light $400 5% Rear and 20% Front window tint $250 Cleat cornering lamps $50 ACS Body Badges $125 Performance: Conforti Custom Computer Chip Made for this Exact Car with this exact Modifications $600 (210hp)Stainless Steel Cat Back Exhaust System $900 (Sounds like Indy car, but quiet at idle)Alloy Cold Air Intake with Cotton lifetime Air filter $150 B&M Short Throw Shifting Kit $150 M compound Tires with under 10,000 miles since install and another BMW performance alignment recheck $950 There are many other smaller items like upgraded door knobs and vin etching on the windows that would make this list even longer but I did my best to touch on the bigger items. I have driven it under 20,000 miles, trouble free, but now I have to move from a 3 car garage to a two car and one car must go, otherwise I would have never parted from this car. Like I said, this has been an extra car, stored in my garage and mostly just started every month to warm the oil and move around to prevent flat spots in the tires. Since it sits a lot I went ahead and installed the following: 6 New Bosch Spark Plugs Fresh 5w-30 BMW Synthetic Oil Change New Gold Power Battery The exterior is in good condition; the BMW Schwartz black is the best color and with the matching black leather interior it looks great. The paint is very good all over, though on the hood and front, there are the usual road chip marks. There are scuffs on the bumpers, but nothing horrific, and some marks from over the years, but nothing bad. The body has NO RUST and looks real good with only a handful of small door dings. It shows very well. The engine runs great. It idles well and does not smoke. The car drives perfect and smooth. The oil has been changed every 3000 miles since new. (I spoke with prior owners) It uses no oil. It leaks NO OIL. Compression test yields great and level compression across the board . Showing the mileage is not indicative to the actual wear on this car, making it an amazing deal for the money. Worth noting but not worrying about, the a/c blew cold when I stored it 3 years ago but now runs warm, a recharge is in order, but since I may just keep the car in put it back in storage I didn't do it. The clutch is strong and the gears shift smooth. Tires are Dunlop SP Super Sport Race that are 2 years old , only have 10,000 miles on them and have 50% life left. ( M compound tires) The brakes work VERY well. All gauges work. All options work perfect. The cruise is great and my favorite, I used the car for road trips mostly. (31MPG and Roller Coaster Handling, why would you drive anything else?) All power windows work as do the locks and REMOTE ENTRY with ALARM. Fresh oil change and ready for cross country trip!. The interior is IN GREAT CONDITION. The Leather interior looks good, MUCH better than most, with only one age rip under the drivers butt. It has factory BMW floor mats. Spare and jack are included as well is the factory issued emergency tools. All in all a real fun daily driver, that gets great gas mileage or the perfect weekend warrior track car or BOTH! Over all you won't find a more capable vehicle period. Trade considerations: High end Road Bikes with Campagnolo, Italian , Carbon fiber or Titanium Builds. Vintage roland synths tb303, 808, 909 , Devilfish , Moogs, Ducati, Aprilia, Bimoto or other Import Motorcycles, gold, original famous paintings, nice vintage motorcycles..... I think that gives you an idea. Once again, make all offers via the make an offer option above. The car is located just south of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
