Vehicle Detail

I am selling this car for a friend of mine, the car belonged to his father who had it in storage after he lost his license over 10 years ago and recently passed away. The car was purchased in Southern California new and has been here since. Description is based on my inspection of the car in person and there is not much vehicle history to go by. The car appears to have stock and no aftermarket parts. The car is complete and was put away when it was drivable. Odometer shows 79K miles but can not be verified. The actual milage is unknown Interior: Shows age but is it looks good for a 40 year old car. Interior is all original stock parts and 95% complete (seats F/R, carpets, radio, ac controls, gear shifter, gauges, door knobs/handles, window cranks, carpets, glove box, etc..). Exterior: The panels have no dents and appears to be very straight. Looks like the car has been painted a couple of times. I did not find rust anywhere on the sheet metal. Bumpers are good and not pitted, front grill and badge is in very good condition. Doors and trunk open and close easily and work with a single key. All wheels are original but tires are junk. Other the the U for MUSTANG, it does not look like its missing anything. INSPECTION for RUST: Floor Pans: good & no rust, Trunk area: good & no rust, Wheel wells (all 4): good & no rust, Bottom of doors (both): good & no rust, Engine bay & firewall: good & no rust. It appears to have 0 rust. Engine: V8 302 Options: Power Steering Power Brakes Disk brakes Air Condition There is a $500.00 past due DMV fees on the car and if you want to apply for duplicate title, it must be paid. The car must be picked up no later than July 28th. Payment due 48 hours after auction closing. On Jul-15-10 at 09:25:05 PDT, seller added the following information: The title is missing and in order to get a duplicate title the fees must be paid. In some cases if the car is used as part, display or etc, bill of sale is enough. We can help or the new owner can apply for a duplicate title with a bill of sale easily. The car cranks but I have not started it till its done correctly (coolant , oil/filet change, carbs primed, etc.). I am not a mechanic or want to mess with it. The car was drivable and mechanicaly ok when it was stored. Tire are gone but there is a good spare. On Jul-15-10 at 10:01:07 PDT, seller added the following information: I can store the car for another few weeks after the auction closes as long as its paid for. The new owner will be responsible for extra storage fees (about $250 for 1 month). On Jul-16-10 at 09:50:28 PDT, seller added the following information: THE CAR MUST HAVE THE TITLE TO BE SOLD LEGALY , THERE IS NO PROBLEM GETTING A DUPLICATE TITLE (I WILL TAKE CARE OF IT) BUT IT WILL TAKE 2/3 WEEKS, THEREFORE I WILL STORE THE CAR AT MY EXPENSE. DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE IN A RUSH TO GET THE CAR. IT IS TO ALL PARTIES BENEFIT TO DO IT RIGHT AND AVOID FUTURE HASSLES.
