Vehicle Detail

This is a 72 Barracuda that is nearly 100% original, except for a repaint done many years ago. About 86000 original miles.I've lowered the reserve so it will sell this time.We are the 3rd owners of this car - the 2nd owner only had it for a few months before selling to us. It's been garaged for the nearly 10 years we've owned it.I was told it was purchased new by the classic 'Little ol lady' and driven by her until she was in her 70's. Apparently, this lady decided the original "Lemon Twist" yellow was too bright so she had it painted a more subdued yellow color. The car was bought from the San Diego California area. This one has great potential! It's a pretty highly optioned Barracuda:Slapstick AutoAir Conditioning (all components are still there and hooked up)AM/FM Radio (that still works fine)Light GroupPower SteeringPower Brakes'Cuda Hood w/inside Hood ReleaseThe original interior of this car is in amazing condition. The Barracuda has some amateur bodywork that was started - bondo was slapped on and never sanded. The car has a few 'road scars' that need to be repaired (see pics). The grille has a crack from the bumper being pushed into it - but looks like an easy fix. I drove this car on my street this week and was impressed with how it drives - the car is very tight. I didnt notice squeaks or rattles and it handled well. The car shifts up and down nicely. The car starts and runs great. This car will idle right away with no messing around. I will put a new battery in for the new owner as the current 10yr old battery is not holding a charge. There is rust on the lower quarters on both sides, the trunk is rusted out (a New replacement trunk pan comes with the car). This is a very solid car otherwise. Floors, frame rails, etc all quite solid. These cars were known to rust out the trunk when water leaked in and sat there. They also rust on the lower quarters due to debris getting wet and sitting next to the metal. Fender tag is still in place, and there is probably a broadcast sheet under the carpet or behind the seats - since they are original. Driver door VIN decal is still there. Clear Colorado Title. The car is located near Colorado Springs, COSerious buyers, please call me at 719-648-9311 if you have any questions or to schedule a time to see the car. I will also answer emails if you prefer. Thanks, Greg PLEASE NOTE: If you have no feedback or negative feedback, please contact me before bidding or your bid will be cancelled. A non refundable deposit of $500 via PayPal is due within 3 days of close. The remainder is due within 7 days - if you don't have the funds, you should not be bidding. Your bid is a contract. I prefer wire transfer for payment, but if you must send a cashiers check, you will need to wait until it clears before the car can be picked up (sometimes this can take a couple weeks). I am willing to sell to overseas buyers (I did this once before). I will assist with coordinating shipping, but all shipping charges are the responsibility of the buyer.
