1984 Honda VT500FT

Relisted due to bidder issues.8600 original miles, family owned. My wife thought she would start riding it but opted for a scooter instead. I replaced the following over the winter in preparation for her use: Fork seals (seals and wipers), stiffer fork springs, air filter, front and rear brake pads (EBC HH), front rotor (vented, from an VLX600), replaced original rubber brake line with braided stainless, grips, oil and filter, tires (Bridgestone Spitfires), battery, LED indicators (bike needs load equalizers to get proper flash rate), coolant, brake fluid, carbs rebuilt. I also removed the centerstand but it is included along with a few other original parts (front rotor, CDIs, etc). Bike looks great but does have typical imperfections for a bike of this vintage. There are a few chips in the paint near the sidecovers and tail fairing which have been touched up with a close-match paint. The bike runs and rides great. The new suspension work has yielded a great handling bike. The upgraded braking system works excellent. The bike is plated and has been ridden about 50 miles since all of the above work has been performed. The 500 twin returns great mileage and the sub 400 wet-weight isn't intimidating for new riders and an absolute joy to riders accustomed to much heavier machines. It's ready for another 20 years of reliable service. No reserve auction, high bid rides it home. I do require a $250 deposit via paypal within 24 hours of auction close.
