Vehicle Detail
1949 Ford project car. The engine is a rebuilt Ford 302 with a rebuilt C-4 Ford transmission. The engine and transmission are from a 79' Ford Granada. They have been rebuilt to stock specs, no radical camshaft, no shift kit, pure and simple. An Edelbrock Performer intake and Edelbrock 600 cfm are the only upgraded modifications. The front suspension and steering are still original equipment. The rearend was changed out and the Ford Granada rearend was installed. The factory rearend also goes with the car, if wanted. The tires have good tread, but are showing cracks on the side walls. It has steel chrome slot rims, which are in good condition. The body of the car needs very minimal rust repair. The passenger side door in the lower corner has a small rusted area. The driver's side door, same spot has been patched in. The floors and trunk area are solid. There is thick undercoating sprayed over them, it appears to be original. The rear fender flares were on the car when it was purchased. Whoever did it, did a good job. They are steel wheel housings then were finished out with filler. There is black interior that was in the car, no front seat. The bucket seats are mounted to the floor and the console is in it, but not secured. A Lokar floor shifter was installed and is hooked up. There are some new parts that go with the car. New window channel and felts, wiring kit, door rubber seals and window rubber seals. The trunk has many misc parts also. The original glass is there. There are 2 pieces that are cracked, but will work for patterns, the rest is useable. The original dash is there and was complete. The gauges are in boxes, but are in good condition. The car is now 12 volt, so the gauges would have to be upgraded to be used. The door garnish moldings and trim are in good condition also. This is a great start for a project car. It does runs and has been driven around the property. It will have to be trailered. There is some work left to be finished, but minimal to make it driver.
