Vehicle Detail

1956 Porsche 356A T1 Beehive Reutter Coupe (#57016) with 42,203 on the speedometer. The car is presently registered and on the road as a driver. Although it needs some body work/paint, odds & ends the body is very solid. Originally Aquamarine Metallic Blue (5607) with a red interior, (a very desirable combo). It has the original 1600 Normal Motor (#62353) that came with the car from the factory, as well as matching chassis numbers on the doors, hood, bonnet and gas tank. I have owned this 356A since 1984, and at the time I purchased the car it was in running/driving condition (outlaw) and badly needing a new floor. The previous owner had the transmission rebuilt, a split case 519 type (#6727 H4). Over the years the following were installed; new floors (installation per Dr Brett Johnson’s method), longitudinals, heat tubes, rockers, jack spurs, toe mounts, fuel cock and more. The rear wheel wells were “Outlaw” flared (steel) by the previous owner and could be reversed if so desired, the bumpers are reproduction glass. The car runs and drives well. I installed a new NOS short track bar on the steering system, shock absorbers, new dual circuit master cylinder and hose’s. Also went through the entire brake system, it stops fine. The original front seats were missing and Honda Prelude buckets are presently installed, they move front to back as well as tilting up and down and work quite nice. The rear seat appears to be original. I also have a brand new red interior kit included with the sale. The dash has the original paint (Aquamarine Metallic Blue) and is all there; it appears to be unmolested except for the radio and the key switch. All glass is good; the driver's side window does not go up all the way, stops about an inch from the top. Wipers work as well as the windshield washer. No serious collision damage, a slight tap on the front end bent the front of the hood slightly, but the hinge area has not been kinked. There is some filler on the car here and there and or rust. Please look at the pictures and ask questions. Inspections are welcome BEFORE you bid, NOT AFTER. The car is represented honestly and accurately. All questions will be answered before the auction ends. Car is sold as is where is. Bidders with 0 feedback or a positive feedback score of less than 90% will need to email me prior to bidding or your bid will be cancelled. Should you have any additional questions, feel free to email me & I will get back to you promptly. I do have it advertised locally and reserve the right to end the listing early should It sell. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: Winning bidder must pay a $500.00 deposit through Pay-pal within 24 hours of auction end. Deposit is non refundable should the buyer change their mind. The remaining balance of funds must be paid within 7 days of auction’s end & can be paid preferably by a bank wire-transfer. I will also accept a cashier’s check certified by a nation wide US bank for USA buyers only. Overseas buyers can only pay by bank wire transfer.
