-Up for bid is a very solid MGA Coupe - I bought this Coupe back in 2005 with intentions to restore it back to its classic beauty. Never happened. Transporter drove it off the trailer into my storage building where it has remained ever since. Time to go - I dont have the time or energy anymore. -Motor will start and run but I have never driven on the road - hasnt been started for quite some time. Engine number is 21012 as shown on the data plate - the plate on the engine is missing. The 1500 is stamped on the side of the block and the head has the 15 stamp. Not sure if its a matching numbers engine or not. Clutch and transmission worked when unloaded from transporter. -No rust through in the frame just the typical oxidation surface rust - there is a small spot in the driver side battery tray but I think it may be from battery fluid at one point. Went over the entire body with a magnet and did not find any filler. Doglegs all metal as well as the areas around the headlights and grill and bottom of the coupe windows. However magnet did not stick to both rockers - pretty sure these are supposed to be metal vs aluminum so they must be either plastic replacements or heavy body putty when painted last. Trunk is solid no rust through - the picture just shows surface rust very solid I tapped it good with a screwdriver head. -Headliner is in pretty decent shape. Seats have been recovered at some point in vinyl with incorrect pattern but usable. Previous owner installed oil guage in the mess above the horn button. Odometer indicates 27000 mileage - not sure what true mileage is, no documentation. - Windows work and all the glass is in great shape. Sorry for the pictures but I have this one buried in the storage shop and not much room to move it around. This Coupe will make an easy project and will hold its value for years to come as prices for Coupes are on the rise. I have a reasonable reserve based on its condition. Inspections are welcome to anyone. The car is located 30 miles West of the city of Knoxville.
