The damage was just cosmetic on the body itself - front, rear driver's side door and bed. No frame damage, the airbags never deployed and engine was intact. We used all OEM Ford Parts (pretty much all new take offs and dealer parts) and replaced the following: complete bed (was all white originally and just painted the lower golden part), front fenders with flares, hood, chrome grille, front bumper, headlights, rear driver's side door, windshield and running bards (we have receipts for everything and will give them all to buyer). We got the truck running with a little over 13k miles and have been driving it ever since. We love this truck so much we are sad to let it go. The main reason is because it beats all the odds and give us an awesome performance at 65mph and 22MPG on the highway. Refined ride and handling, truck delivers an impressive 650 pound-feet of torque and 350 horsepower fit to haul anything. Transmission shifts smooth. No leaks, no smoke. It drives very straight and responds nicely to all commands. Tires are in great shape. Interior is roomy, comfortable, and in excellent condition. All features work as they should. This truck was never abused as there was never a gooseneck installed. The ABS warning light just came on the gauge as we drove the truck over a tree branch. ABS works fine, it's just the light that's on and we did not look further to remediate the problem. We get a lot of compliments on the truck wherever we go, especially from truck lovers as everybody think it's a robust F450 when they first look at it. MSRP on the truck was $52,260. Blue Book value for retail with clean title is $46,955 and private sale is $43,355. SALVAGE FACTS If you are considering buying a salvage vehicle but not sure how it works, here is some step-by-step info we put together to help you out. Remember that laws change from state to state, but this is pretty standard for all Motor Vehicle Departments. There are some states, however, that will give you a clean title after the truck passes the inspection. For further info, visit your local DMV website or give them a call. We will assist you providing all the receipts you need for the inspection on your own state. Step 1 Once you receive your vehicle, do all the proper repairs and save the receipts for parts and labor. Step 2 Contact your local DMV to schedule a salvage inspection. You can not compare this truck with a 6.0 or a 7.3, although they are pretty good trucks too. The 6.4 has an unbelievable take off power and once you are up and running, it maintains a great stability on the road, you feel the grip of the tires on the asphalt. I was driving the truck yesterday and the turbo house came off out of nowhere. That's simply because the truck has a lot of power and makes a lot of pressure on the hoses.
