This is an extrelemly clean rust free and accident free 1977 California Volkswagen 7 passenger bus. This is a NO RESERVE auction, so the high bidder will win. The bus starts up and sounds very healthy the engine runs extremely well and accelerates positively. The gearbox is good, the clutch works great and shifting through all the gears is smooth and effortless. The brakes stop the bus well, the steering is in good working order and the suspension feels good. The handling is good and the entire drive train is solid. The bus comes equipt with a factory a/c unit however, there is no compressor. Getting it working should not be to difficult. Cosmetically the van is in excellent condition. The body is is nice with minimal imperfections. The body, chassis, and frame are rust free. The underbelly looks great. The frame is straight and solid, no accidents, and no rust. The paint finish looks very attractive, it was redone a few years back in the original color. It is lustrous and very clean and crisp throughout.The chrome is shiny and looks good. The are a few minor dings on the bumpers, nothing to loose sleep over. Nice stock wheels, shiny hubcaps and good tread remaining on all four tires. Interior and exterior lights work.From what we understand the interior of the bus was vandalized back in the 80's when buses weren't worth very much. The damage exceeded the value of the bus. At that time the owner reported the damage to there insurance company, and were reinbursed for all new seat uphulstery. Because of the claim the vehicle was stamped "salvage". This vehicle is transferable anywhere just like a regular title.Nice original spare tire cover.Smooth running engine....Great idle, No leaks, smoke, or strange noises.
