Vehicle Detail
Condition & Features: The front-end (suspension) is BRAND NEW. The brake job is very recent. The body is solid. Minor rust repair was done around the back wheel-wells. The floor pan isn't bad, but I recommended that it is repaired or replaced. It is solid, but showing its age a bit. The truck bed is SOLID! (Rare for the oldies). The truck is currently in Primer and nearly ready for paint All of the trim is in excellent shape (the lower trim was removed for vanity purposes)...didn't like it. The transmission is a three-speed, which was moved from the column to the floor; transmission shifts very smoothly. Brand new 351 Windsor was installed professionally 3,000 miles ago, and is still under warrantly for a little less than three years (have all of the documentation). Has a brand new 600 Edelbrock Carb & Intake. Brand new Mustang-type exhaust all the way to the bumper, with chrome tips. Aluminum wheels with BRAND NEW wide Cooper Tires. The interior should be re-done. - This truck is in daily-driver condition, and is VERY dependable. History: I bought this truck and have rebuilt it over the past two years. The restoration is about 80% complete (needs paint, interior work, etc) Shipping & Payment: Acceptable payment for this truck includes any of the common safe wholesale formats (Cashier's Check, Cash, etc.) This truck is pick-up only, unless an arrangement is made between the buyer and myself before-hand. ADDITIONAL NOTES: If the buyer has access to Statesville, NC, I will throw in an interior job at no extra cost through my family's upholstery business. The only reason I'm trying to sell this truck is so I can purchase another project that's caught my eye. I have an opportunity to buy the car I've been looking for since I was 18, so I'm willing to lose a little on this to come up with the money. This truck is in VERY good shape and is very close to being done. Mechanically, this truck is ready to go! I'm a straight shooter, so I'll let everyone know up front that the reserve price is $3800, but I have a lot more than that into the truck. Feel free to ask any questions! On Jul-09-10 at 15:57:59 PDT, seller added the following information: Question: How solid is the bed? Answer: The bed on the truck is COMPLETELY solid. My father is currently using it as a daily driver, and he is the reason the camper has been placed on the back (not my style...lol), but that goes to say that even now the bed is being protected. On Jul-09-10 at 16:04:55 PDT, seller added the following information: Question: How many miles has your father put on the truck using it as a daily driver? Answer: Just a little over 3,000 miles on the new crate motor. He has made several 250+ mile trips (one-way) in it, so it's very dependable, but no, the miles aren't being ran up on it. He drives it every day, but normally for local (town, church, etc) trips. On Jul-09-10 at 20:25:31 PDT, seller added the following information: Question: Would purchasing the truck be an inconvenience to your father transportation-wise, or has he already made arrangements to drive something else? Answer: We have discussed the situation and made decisions together based on his best interest and my own steps towards acquiring the car I'm currently looking at. I've already arranged it so that he will make the transaction with the buyer (since he's there and I'm out-of-state) and I will be bringing a vehicle to him that will be a little more economical (a V-6 rather than the V-8).On Jul-10-10 at 09:19:15 PDT, seller added the following information: Question: Could you add some pictures from other angles, and of the bed? Answer: I just added several more pictures that were just taken today, so you're looking at the truck as it looks right now.On Jul-10-10 at 22:59:52 PDT, seller added the following information: Question: Is that a bedliner inside of the bed? Answer: No, there is no bedliner. My father and I both agreed not to put one in because they often trap moisture between the steel bed and the bedliner material, and we didn't want to take a chance on allowing the bed to rust at all. The reason the inside of the bed is black is because my father painted it (just something quick) so that it would be protected while he is using it. As I mentioned, the bed is solid, so we want it to stay that way. So, to sum it up, that is the steel bed that you're looking at in the photo. On Jul-12-10 at 04:15:51 PDT, seller added the following information: Question: Will the documentation on the crate motor be available when the truck is picked up? Answer: Yes, the paperwork on the crate motor will be sent with the new owner when the truck is picked up. All of the documentation will become the property of the new owner because it keeps the warranty valid.
