Vehicle Detail
1960 Pontiac Safari wagon- Body had been soda blasted to bare metal-Dp90 applied and then painted base claear in a two tone Midnight red and Metalic Silver. This was done about 6 years ago. The shop that did the blasting primed over the two areas that now require repair. I did not see them therefore they wer not repaired when they should have been.. I have purchased a repair panel for the front fender- See bubbled area in pics. The other area is on the rear wheel well-see pic. a new interor was added using bucket seats with a center console. The dash was converted to a digital unit out of an Olds Cutlass Supreme and a overhead consoule was also installed. all new rubbers were install (Steele Rubber Products) A Chevy 454 with a 700R4 trans was installed. The car has sat for 5 plus years ( inside) I would reccommend the trans be checked out as it leaks ( was completly rebuilt$500.00) but does not shift properly into OD and has the leak. The trans was rebuilt in Alabama and now the car is in Ill- so I can not get the original guy to redo it. All else is fine and is a sharp looking piece. Would be a fun grocery getter with a little TLC I have over 10K invested and am moving and have no room - however I can not totally give it away but am willing to take a loss not to have to haul it and store it- Car has all original drum brakes - new master and booster- new steerong col. new power steering unit, Vintage Air super cooler, New aluminum radiator -new radio/cd player with rockford amp and 8" sub woofers-Billet specialties steering wheel There is not a title wth the car - have the bill of sale from Colorodo when I purchased it- Vehical was registerd to us in Alabama On Jul-08-10 at 04:11:12 PDT, seller added the following information:The car does have a clear title ( forgot the car was registered before the teardown in Iowa) Kept title when we moved to Alabama, as Alabama does not require a title on older cars.
