1948 Chevrolet Fleetmaster Town Sedan with 58,872 original miles You are looking at an original AACA winning 1948 Chevrolet Fleetmaster that was part of the James P. Hendershaw collection. The vehicle was appraised as a #1 condition classic car meaning it is virtually and mechanically flawless. This was one of our favorite cars in the collection and the reason it is being sold is due to the owner of the collection, James P. Hendershaw recently passing away. We are NOT a classic car dealership and this Chevrolet is being sold privately from our personal collection. The 1948 Chevrolet Fleetmaster is a AACA national first prize winner - the vehicle has also won several awards at local San Diego classic shows such as Cruisin Grand where the Fleetmaster won best of show twice. This Fleetmaster is one of the nicest original vehicles we've seen in our collection. The upholstery looks as if it was new and is confirmed that it is original. It is a numbers matching classic that looks as if it has been restored, when it is absolutely original. The Chevy drives to perfection, shifts smoothly and has very tight suspension. For a vehicle this old, it is absolutely amazing that there appears to be no body work of any kind and or dings, scratches, swirls etc. If any parts were replaced that were not perfect, they were replaced with new-old stock pieces by the previous owner who had a very large well known American car collection. From the chrome, to the engine bay and even the undercarriage of the vehicle appear to be flawless. Many people on eBay with classics for sale claim them to be perfect show cars when most are not even close. This classic has been through with a fine tooth comb from collectors to judges and there is no room for disappointment period. If you are not familiar with the Fleetmaster - it came equipped with an Inline-6 w/ a 3-speed manual transmission on the column. This particular model came with some original factory equipped options such as the spot light, sun-visor and other original options that are very sought after and hard to find.
