1978 Mercury Grand Marquis Automatic 7.5 litre for sale - excellent project for someone who wants to restore a car like this. I am listed on eBay as a UK seller as I am from the UK originally BUT I LIVE IN THE USA AND THIS IS A US AUCTION - Avondale, Phoenix. Starts fine, engine runs well, under the hood could do with a tidy up, but as I say it runs and drives fine. As you would expect, a huge car with a huge trunk.The paint job is a bit aged, could do with a respray, as you can see there is a slightly rusted panel on the front left wing but this can be dealt with in the respray. The chrome trim is in reasonable condition, just needs a replaced piece in a few places. The interior is all original and as you would expect, a bit worn from 1978. The seats could do with recovering and overall needs a good clean, but fine to drive in as I have given it a clean before listing.Springy suspension for maximum ride comfort, it also has FULLY WORKING cruise control, air conditioning, heating, electric drivers seat, electric windows electric front locking and hydraulically operated light covers which lift automatically when the lights switch on. All the lights work including flashers, brake and reverse and interior although the light cover is broken, it works fine. Has fully working warning light system and instruments/speedometer. Has fully working retractable seat belts in all six seats. In a previous life it was used at a Civil Air Patrol vehicle so has a CB radio installedIdeal project for restoration, the reason for me selling is I don't have the time to restore this car as much as I would love to!Buyer will have to arrange their own pick up from Avondale - we only can accept cash on collection as paymentThanks for looking
