Vehicle Detail
You are biting for a 1968 Honda 90cc.. Great Looking bike with a little more love it will be a Pure Beauty! I got this bike from a neighbor. It belonged to his dad since the first day out of the dealer in 1968. The bike was stored in his back yard for 28 years. But no one took care of it. I got it and starting the cleaning process hoping to restored it completely but my job doesn't give me that much time :( Things I have done: Cleaned up the tank and re-coated the inside with a motorcycle tank sealer do to the fact that it had rust inside. (Also sanded & sprayed the outside to stop the corrosion.) Cleaned and repaired the carburetor (it still needs to be tuned up) *Cleaned as much as possible all the rusted spots. *Reupholstered the seat Changed the oil etc. The bike runs pretty well as I mentioned its carburetor need some tuneup. The tires hold air although it will need new tires cause they are "OLD" The tank has 2 small dents one in each side from the handle bar ( I guess back then they didn't think about those details) It needs new battery Some Info about the CL90: The Honda CL90 was a 4-stroke 90cc OHC motorcycle built by Honda between 1967 and 1969. The CL designation indicated this model to be the "Scrambler" version which implied some off-road capability prior to actual dirt-bikes gaining popularity. Three colors were available: Candy Red; Candy Blue; and Black. The fuel tank was silver on all models. The fenders and exhaust system were chrome. The engine was a 89cc OHC single cylinder. The transmission was a 4-speed with a manual clutch. The serial number began CL90The CL series of bikes were actually street bikes with a higher rear fender, a braced handlebar, and a high-mount exhaust.
