Vehicle Detail

1995 Dodge Stealth in excellent condition inside and out. 4 brand new tires(as can be seen by the tread in my pics) on aftermarket chrome wheels with Dodge emblem, chrome wheels valued at $1,200 alone. SOHC engine, A/C belt is removed, but I do have it and will include with vehicle. All windows are in prestine condition as well, all lights work and operate properly. Transmission shifts like brand new without fail. This car was and always has been well maintained, it runs strong. Paint is nearly flawless, except for condensation on roof. Interior has no rips or tears and is very clean. Though it's not, the car was ordered with R/T available options and paperwork also included for custom orders like the custom wheels, etc. Entire brake system was just replaced at and by Dodge dealership($1,500), paperwork included. As well as oil changes(using high milage premium oil) and state inspection, all done less than 1,000 miles ago and all paperwork included. Car starts easily and runs, but either water pump and belt or possibly head gasket may need to be replaced. There is no oil in coolant system, nor is there any coolant in oil, which is why I am lead to believe that just the water pump and belt that need to be replaced. I was told, even shown(by a friend and co-worker who was trained as an engine specialist in the U.S. Marines) that was all that was needed, but was told from someone else(a shop mechanic who charges $40 for a 4 quart oil change) it "could be" a head gasket. I haven't driven the car since, so there is no damage done whatsoever to engine if that's the case. The car starts, sounds and runs fine, then after about 6-7 minutes white smoke comes from exhaust, about the time it takes for water pump to begin the coolant system. But since water pump is failing, no water is being sent through the hose to radiator, I replaced thermostat, but to no avail because the problem still exists. These car's coolant systems were designed to send excess water vapor out through the exhaust in an effort to avoid an head problems, which is why I believe and almost feel sure it's the water pump/belt that needs replaced, but it's only fair and honest to state that head gasket could be a possibility. Engine never was run hard and never ran hot before and still doesn't run hot idling. Only runs hot after driven for several miles. I intended on selling the car before problem arose because I bought another vehicle recently and thought about replacing the water pump and belt and selling the car for a couple hundred more, but to be honest, I simply just don't have the time to do it and $200 more bucks isn't worth it to me since I'm not keeping the car, so instead I'm just going to lower the price and sell it as is and someone who can and does have the time and tools can fix it easily and enjoy this rare hot rod and all the compliments they'll be receiving or just buy a water pump and belt and get your local shop to replace it, replacing a water pump/belt isn't a difficult job, it just takes at least 2 hours, maybe a lil more to do. Other than just that one problem, the car is absolutely flawless. This is a rare car and to find one like it in such prestine condition doesn't happen often, so good luck bidding and I'll be glad to answer any questions on here or call 540-290-0166. Car is for sale locally as well, so I reserve the right to end auction if someone locally buys it first.
