1987 Mercedes 300 D-I am the second owner of this outstanding vehicle-It runs and drives great-I have every service record since delivery to the original owner-at 70 mph it still gets 30 mpg- I have owned several Mercedes and this is by far the best one I have ever owned-the only reason for selling is I bought an S class and don't have room to keep it. As for current needs, it needs a pan gasket on the transmission as it leaks a little-not much just a drop every now and then-I had the transmission rebuilt completely about 3 years ago by AAMCo-It shifts perfectly-the driver's side rear window does not work-it has not since I bought it and I found I never really needed that window to open anyway-the center 2 vents do not work-my mechanic said it is an actuator or something-but the other vents work fine so I never needed the center ones-The car starts every time in any weather-and runs smoothly-there are no engine problems-this is the bullet proof Mercedes Turbo Six and I am not afraid to drive this car anywhere-it is just so dependable-The tires have about 75% tread left--it has an Alpine AM/FM CD player but the original Becker AM/FM/Tape player is in the trunk along with a car cover-this Mercedes has always been garaged or covered--there is NO rust-the paint is in great shape-it's hard to believe it is this old-the seats have no tears or rips, the sun roof works perfectly (the previous owner spent $1,100 on the repair)-the wheels are upgraded and have no scuffs--the AC blows cold and always has-the heater works great also-cruise control works fine-there is a door ding on the passenger side as you can see in a picture-also a lady backed into the rear bumper and put a crease in the rubber-her insurance paid for that accident but I didn't have it fixed-there is a picture of that too--that is the only accident that I am aware of--the original owner said it had never been in an accident either----it is for sale locally too so I reserve the right to end the auction if it sells here--if you want to come by Frankfort KY and take a test drive , just let me know-it is being sold AS IS--no warranty implied or offered-but you won't be disappointed in this fantastic Mercedes- I will require a 200.00 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours after the auction ends- the remainder can be in cash or cashier's check but I will hold the car until the cashier's check has cleared my bank .There is a small reserve but don't ask what it is- Feel free to ask any other question as the auction goes along.
