This is a beautiful completely redone frame-off 1968 Camaro SS 396 big block. The car has just had a full frame-off restoration. This is not a #'s matching car. Car came out of Georgia several years ago. The motor: It is a 1970 402 Big Block that was rebuilt with a healthy sounding cam. Brand new Edelbrock carb, aluminum intake, Flowtech ceramic coated headers, 3 inch dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and tail pipes - sounds very tough. All new belts and hoses and radiator was refurbished. The tranny: Turbo 400 with a Hughes converter. Tranny has about 10 miles on a pro rebuild by Ruthless Racing. The rearend: 12 bolt, 355 posi. Brand new springs, shocks, shackels, bushings from South Side Machine. Everything from backing plates out is new including brake lines throughout. The front end: All the steering parts have been replaced - tie rods, ball joints, wheel bearings, rotors, calipers, shocks, and brake lines. Also the booster, master cylinder and proportioning valve are new. Car has disc brakes on front. The interior: New seats, carpet, headliner, sunvisors, rear sails, rear seat, dash, door panels and sill plates were replaced including deluxe door panels and seat belts. The body: This car spent more than a year in the body shop. New floor pans, trunk lid, trunk gutters, lower quarters, fenders, inner fenders, and lower valance took care of the sheet metal replacement. Many hours spent blocking and straightening panels before the Hugger Orange paint went down. Then it was water sanded and buffed down to a beautiful high gloss finish. All weather stripping has been replaced from Classic Industries along with the bumpers and window trim. The new vinyl top was installed as well. Big tube ceramic coated headers; full 3" exhaust. New wheels and tires, new wheel opening molding, all new emblems. Hugger Orange with new black vinyl top. Car has been completed about six months.
