I bought this bike a few months ago fully intending on keeping it. I spent a lot of time and money getting to it's present condition and I have decided it's too rich for me and I'm going to turn it over to a new appreciative owner.The previous owner also had intended to keep the bike, spent a lot of time and money getting it mechanically correct....I just finished the job he started with factory correct Candy Glory Paint,reproduction decals, and a brand new reproduction exhaust from Tims CBX.Here's a list of what has been done Mechanically:Carbs removed, cleaned, synced, replaced all jets, plug & diaphragm & new carb boots.Complete brake overhaul-new front master cyl, rebuilt rear master cyl, caliper rebuilt and new pads.New gripsreplaced non-working hornNew Accel coils and wiresNew dyna ignition from Tims CBX-removed pulsersNew Dunlap tires front and rear rectifier/regulatorNew Starter relayNew BatteryNew air filters-removed original airbox (it comes with the deal)All new fluids and filtersNew spark plugsRebuilt petcockCosmetically:Repainted tank, front fender and rear cowl. Side Covers are original and did not, in my opinion, call for new paint.The exhaust is a perfect reproduction of the original equipment system. All new and looks awesome!This is a very early production model. The previous owner claimed the bike had been sitting for many years in a temperature controlled room. It shows. The odometer only showed 242 miles on it when I purchased it. He told me that could be correct but could not guarentee. I did a little research and discovered the actual miles were about 4,000. I believe the bike now has its original speedometer on it and it shows 4,300. When you hear how nice it sounds and how quiet it is, you will know it is a super low mileage bike.Besides the photos I have posted here, I have also posted many of the same photos and a video of a walk around of the bike and of it starting and running on my photobucket site. If it was I would be asking $16,000+ for it. But in my opinion, this bike is a 9.5 out of 10. Look closely and I'm sure you will find little imperfections. For example I noticed the front wheel had a small mark where I'm sure someone messed up changing the tire at some time...but all in all I believe this is one of the nicest CBX's I've seen on ebay this year.
