Vehicle Detail
I have for sale a 1996 Chevy Camaro RS coupe. It does not have t-tops.First off,let me get to the motor/tranny work. The motor and transmission that are in the car right now have 89,963 miles on them-they were both put in at the same time. The body of the car has about 102,000 on it.As far as the motor goes-it is a 3.8 V6 with some minor work, such as a small bore and small cam-nothing too extreme.About every gasket in the motor is new,the entire thing was ripped apart and gone through-done right by ASE certified mechanics.Anything that was questionable at all was replaced with no hesitation. There is also a new fuel pump that is about 4 months old,so you won't have that headache to worry about if you get the car.Car also has custom dual exhaust on it-doesnt sound too bad for a V6.The interior for the most part is very good-seats are all intact with no rips, tears, cuts, etc.Dash is not cracked and all other interior pieces are good other than the top for the armrest that is missing a small pin to hold the top in place when it is open, but it latches just fine.I will probaly put a new pin in it anyhow before the sale is final. There is a Panasonic CD player that changes color, graphics, animations, etc. and all aftermarket speakers installed in the car.The car was not smoked in or driven in snow/salt at all.As for the exterior- I will tell you truthfully that it is far from perfect by any means. As you can tell from the pics-some of the paint is spider cracking and there are several scratches/marks on the car throughout the body and the molding on the drivers side door seems to have an area on the top that is chunked out(see pic). There is no huge dents or rust or anything like that, but there are several imperfections in the paint such as the scratches, etc.Don't get me wrong-from about 5 feet away, the car looks pretty good.It was repainted before I got it roughly about 1 and a half years ago and whoever painted it did not do the best job at all,but it never bothered me enough to worry about it.I am sure a lot of it could be taken care of by a professional detailing place by doing a wet sand on the car and a full deep detail on the body, but I never seen the need to go through all that. The car is a spare car for my wife and she only drove it when it was nice or on a weekend, but we have too many vehicles and it does not get used like it should. It collects dust more than anything.Tires and brakes are all good and also, all the windows are tinted pretty dark on the car. They are 15% on the sides and 5% on the back one.The tailights are also custom tinted for looks but are fully functional/legal.The car also has a leather front end cover(bra) on it.It really is a great running car and everything is done for it to last a long time for someone that can get some use out of it,we just can't justify letting the thing sit any longer. There is no reserve on the auction so good luck to everyone and I am also selling the car locally and reserve the right to end the auction early. Thanks alot for looking.I also forgot-the car is also lowered 1".And also:please pay no attention to the date on the pics,I just forgot to change it on the camera after putting in new batteries. The pics were taken 2 days ago.
