Vehicle Detail
I bought this original, complete and unmolested truck about 6 years ago and started a frame-off restoration. But with the birth of my daughter 5 years ago and way too many other "pokers in the fire", I just don't have the time or desire to continue this project to completion. Therefore, it's gotta go, with pretty much ALL of the disassembly work already done. The good news is that all of the chassis restoration has been completed (see pictures). This includes, but is not limited to: the frame and all 5 wheels being sandblasted and repainted, the suspension components being refurbished, repaired or replaced, new brake master cylinder and rigid and flexible brake lines, etc., 3-speed manual transmission and radiator have been refurbished, 1960's circa 235 cu engine overhauled and painted, (I also have the orginal 216 engine, but it's in unknown operating condition), flywheel and pressure plate have been machined and are ready for assembly, however, it will need a new clutch. In addition, the hood, bed sides, running boards and a few other smaller components have been sand blasted. The inner fenders, radiator frame and a few other parts have also been sand blasted and repainted. There is a new tailgate which will be included as well as many other "extra" parts...everything has got to go and will go to the highest bidder! To the best of my knowledge, this is a complete truck with no title. For a truck that is 61 years old, it is in very good condition, but It's not perfect. There is rust-through on the left cab cowl (see close-up pic) and a small hole in the right cab corner (both are typical) and there are a few very small dings on three of the five painted grill pieces and a couple of very small dings on the back of the cab. Everying else is in pretty good shape and certainly a candidate for a rebuild. Since the truck has been disassembled, it is difficult to take a picture of everything, but at your request, I will photograph any component(s) that you are interested in seeing. Hook the trailer up to your truck (or rent a U-Haul) and come and get this vintage 1949 Chevy 1500 pickup! Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
