I purchased this very clean 1970 Oldsmobile Toronado in January 2005 from an automobile museum in California. It had been donated to the museum by its elderly original owner. I flew to California and drove the car back to Texas in two days without an ounce of trouble. The odometer shows 44220 miles but I cannot guarantee that it has not rolled over. The 455 CID engine is very clean and runs very smooth on regular gas with no smoke. The car has a white vinyl top and what looks to be the original green paint. A slightly darker shade of green can be seen on the body where a few spots have been touched up. The interior is in excellent condition and again it appears to be original. The carpet and headliner are excellent and the padded dash has no cracks in it. I was told that the car has been garaged its entire life and it looks it. It has been garaged since I have owned it. It has radial tires with lots of life left in them. It has power windows but the two back windows will not operate. The passenger side window works but slower than normal. I have actually put a couple of scratches on the car since I've owned it. One is on the left rear above the tailights when I slowed backed into a guy wire. Skinned the paint off. The other one is a dent on the passenger side door where I gently nudged it with my motorhome when I was backing the RV into my storage building. The air conditioner does not work but all parts are present. The 1970 Toronado was the last year of the original body style and the first to not have the troublesome retractable headlamps. The oil dipstick tube is missing. It has a working AM radio. The heater works great as do all interior and exterior lamps. It has the desirable barrel type speedometer that registers to 130 MPH. The Toronado pioneered front wheel drive in American cars. The floorboard is flat with no transmission hump. This is a very nice 40 year old car. It needs a new home. I have shifted my attention from old cars to old trucks and that's why I'm willing to let it go. This vehicle does not have a warranty, either expressed or implied. You can fly in to the Waco, Texas airport and I'll pick you up and you can drive this baby home. Otherwise it will have to be picked up in Mart, Texas.
