Vehicle Detail
For auction is a 1952 Chevrolet 2 door hardtop custom project. This has been a two year restoration and custom project, which now is being offered for sale or trade. I have over $20k invested, and I understand that it will not sell for nearly that amount in it's current condition, which is why I will consider trades for other cars or a newer or vintage Harley in running condition. I have posted photos of the vehicle during various stages of the project. The photos of the car in grey primer show the vehicle in it's current state. This vehicle is currently not running and is obviously still under construction. If you are able to finish the construction work yourself, this would be a great opportunity, as all the expensive stuff has been paid for. The firewall has been smoothed and painted with red metal flake. The body has been shaved and mostly dechromed, except for the window, beltline, and front fender side stainless trim. The hood has been nosed and peaked. There was some rust above the drip rails on both sides, but it was all cut out and replaced with new metal. A brand new Fat Man Stage IV Mustang II front suspension kit w air bags, disc brakes and 2" dropped spindles has been installed. A Gambino Kustoms C Notch kit with a triangulated 4 link and a freshly rebuilt rear end has been installed. A GM Crate 350 with 500 miles and many new parts has been installed. The transmission is a freshly rebuilt TH700R4 with zero miles after the rebuild, and has been partially installed. The vehicle has 2 pair of metal skirts, standard in the wheelwell skirts, and after market over the wheelwell cruiser skirts. It also includes a hardtop visor, both stock bumpers, a 1952 Pontiac rear bumper, the original front split bench seat, a pair of 64 Impala SS bucket seats, a rebuilt and restored speedometer, some rechromed dash parts, almost all of the interior window, and beltline stainless trim and a freshly chromed front grille with extra teeth added (see the photo). Currently the center floor of the vehicle has been cut out in order to tunnel the driveline, and most of the interior is currently gutted. The chassis is rolling, but obviously the car does not run. I would estimate that the vehicle is only about 60% completed. The interior still needs to be installed, a steering column is needed, the tunnel work needs to be completed, the wiring harness needs to be installed, the stainless needs to be polished, and the bumpers need to be chromed. Basically the car needs to be put back together, painted and chopped (opptional) to your own tastes. The final pic in my gallery of a chopped black and white 52 is not my car, but an example of what my car will look like when it is chopped properly. Car has many new parts including... Please email trade offers with photos to kustomfink@yahoo.com. This car is for sale locally and I do reserve the right to cancel and end this auction early should a local transaction be completed prior to the auctions end. Here is a list of my current expenses for this project to give some perspective for potential buyers or trades...
