1983 Chevrolet El Camino, Royal Knight, Super Sport. The Royal Knight was a limited production unit produced for only a couple of years. This El Camino is extremely clean, a sharp looking "head turner". The exterior and the interior are both in very good condition. The pictures tell the story. Everything works as it should with the exception of the cruise control. Since I only drove the car in town I did not pursue repairing the cruise control. The odeometer shows 40,942 miles and only displays 5 didgets. The real milage is probably 140,942 I would guess. I have owned the El Camino a couple of years or so and used it as a daily driver type vehicle. I have to many vehicles to store this on the inside, so something has got to go and this is the one. It is to nice of a vehicle to leave out in the weather. The El Camino is equipped with a 5.0 V8, a 4 barrell carb, a 3 speed automatic transmission, electric locks and electric windows, AM /FM radio with a cassett player and as all Super Sports were, it is equipped with an in dash tach. The bench seat is a 60/40 split bench, the wipers have the delay feature and of course the steering wheel is a tilt wheel. There are no cracks in the dash as inside storage was the rule I assume since new. There is no visible rust anywhere other than a scratch or two in the bed. The wheels are aftermarket and the tires are 14" as was the case when the vehicle was new. The original spare tire and jack are still there and the tire has never seen the ground. The vehicle was repainted and new decals applied several years ago and I do not know exactly when that took place. This is not a "show truck", but a darn good daily driver and cruise unit. I get lots of comments and questions when I drive it to the grocery store and else where. This El Camino has been well maintained. The A/C was service recently and blows cold. The 4 barrell carb was rebuilt recently, and the heater core was also replaced within the last few months. The oil has been changed every 3000 miles or more often. I really hate to part with this El Camino, but like I said, I cannot store it inside anymore and I am getting pressure from my spouse. So, it has got to go. I have a clear title in hand and will assist with transportation on this end. The total cost of any transportation is up to the buyer. I would like a $250 non refundable deposit via PayPal within 48 hours, with the remainder to be paid in full via cash or cashiers check within 7 days of the close of the auction.
