This 8month project started as a slant 6 I feel this was a special order car because of the sway bar, console, rear defrost and fold down rear seat options; things usually found in V-8 models.I decided to liven up the car by putting in a souped up 318 in it so starting from the top hear we go- the engine is topped off by a 750 cfm Holley double pumper which is bolted to an aluminum Edelbrock Hi-PO Intake. The Heads are Indy Cylinder heads(Aro-cy-sb-340) which were ordered to match the Comp cam that has a 470 lift and 224 duration. EVERY component on the engine is NEW OIL PUMP, WATER PUMP. Engine has been bored 30 over and balanced. the sleeves are filled with Mopar performance flat top pistons and Eagle rods are used to attach them to the steel crank. On the bottom is a brand new Milodon 8 quart oil pan. The engine is cooled my a vicious clutch fan and an aluminum radiator. The exhaust is emptied into a set a custom dual exhaust X Pipes before going through Flowmaster mufflers. The 727 Tranny is held into place my a heavy duty polyurethane tranny mount that is indestructable. The new custom driveshaft is speed balanced. The rear end is 8 and 1/4 with I believe 3:23 rear end ratio. The Super stock 7 leaf springs ,which are also brand new, are held into place by brand new shackles. Adjustable drag car shocks help support the rear end of the car.The interior of the card is quieted by a damping pad that was installed underneath the new carpet. The safety of the car is also second to none with 2 G force 5 point safety harnesses which are bolted to a roll bar. The car also comes with a set of fenders, front nose piece and a slightly damaged grill. The car has limo tinted windows and is a A/C car. The A/C is NOT functional howevwer included with the car is a brand NEW A/C condensor and A/C compressor.The car rolls on NEW rims and NEW BF Goodrich T/A Radials Front-21570R15,rear-23560R15. The top needs paint, small rust in the trunk, odometer cable needs replaced, car is drived weekly, VERY dependable, a BLAST to drive!
