1996 Honda Goldwing Aspencade, 1500 GL motorcycle for sale. I purchased this motorcycle from the City of Boerne, Texas Police Department two years ago. It had been seized from its previous owner. I don’t know the history of the bike prior to that. The bike is Burgundy with Maroon accents and is a very beautiful machine with lots of extra chrome and lights. It was in need of several minor repairs when I bought it. The first thing I did was replace the clutch. Then the saddle bags were replaced with bags from an SE model. A new extra tall windshield was added as well as a new seat and backrest. The brakes were rebuilt with new rotors and pads. New air shocks were added as well as the compressor. The engine oil was drained and replaced with Amsoil Synthetic Motorcycle Oil. New oil and air filters were installed. A new battery was installed in the past month. The bike runs out fantastic and the transmission shifts correctly. New turn signals and a cruise control module were installed but the cruise will not engage. It has all the standard features that came on the Aspencade model including reverse. It has an AM/FM Radio with seek and scan handlebar controls. The cassette player does not work. There are two small storage area covers that are missing and a lockable storage compartment lid is missing. The tires are in very good shape. My friend recently completed a 400 mile road trip on the bike with his wife as a passenger. He liked the bike so well that he went out and traded his Kawasaki Vulcan for a new Goldwing when he got home. He tried to convince me to go to Colorado with him on the bike but I’m 69 years old and I don’t think I could make it but there’s no doubt the motorcycle could. I am attaching photos from all angles of the bike. Look at them closely before you bid. The bike has no warranty either expressed or implied. Bike must be picked up in Mart, Texas or shipping arranged by the buyer. I will assist with loading the motorcycle. Or you can fly into Waco, Texas and I’ll pick you up and you can ride the bike home. The license plates are good through September 2010. In Texas the plates go with the vehicle when it is sold, so you won't have to get temporary tags if you want to ride it home. This is NOT a SALVAGE vehicle and has a 100% clear Texas title in my name.
