Vehicle Detail
Hello All- I have a 1977 Lincoln Versailles with the 5.8 Windsor motor w/ 2 barrel carb. It has 4 wheel disc brakes and a ford 9" with posi in the rear. The car is an all original survivor with only 29, 595 miles. Its maroon exterior w/ maroon vinal top w/ maroon bench seat interior. This car is in great condition with it still running and driving. I would not hesitate to make a trip to Kansas City in it or for that matter to Minneapolis. In fact i did take it to Omaha from Le Mars, IA which is a 260 miles round trip last September when I lived in Le Mars and the car got 19.8 MPG. This is a 3 owner car with me being the third. The first had it for almost 21,000 and the second for a little over 1,000 miles. I have owned it since April of 2009 and it only having 22,236 miles and since made quite a few repairs. I replaced the distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs, fuel filter, KYB gs-2 shocks all 4 of them, wheels were balanced/rotated, and changed the oil three times since I owned it. The previous owner put an rust free fuel tank and new fuel pump into it. This old of a car does not come without a few minor problems. It needs: Window Motors in the front replaced(have these and they are Original Motocraft Parts) Tires, which are still drivable but weather checked U-joints on the drive-shaft(have the u-joints) Heater Core AC recharged Front brakes just started to squeak Drivers door handle(just broke) Cat-back exhaust replaced Carb needs to be recondition but when warm runs great Minor Reconditioning of the paint. -Scratch buffed and maybe a little bit of paint in that area -Waxed and buffed should take care of the rest Also just a good overall cleaning as I did not have the time before I parked it at my sisters house in Sioux City, IA. I will repeat that "This old of a car does not come without a few minor problems." I consider all of these minor as its in excellent body wise except for the scratch. I am being completely honest. I have not drove the car for about a month but guarantee it will start-up. When I started it this spring after sitting all winter she ran pretty good for sitting and not starting all winter. The reason for me selling is because I just do not have the space down here in Omaha. Below is the NADA value of the car without taking in account for the low mileage. The car if done right would be worth about $5,000. My name is Jim and my number is 712-253-5394. Shoot me a text or call. As all of you can see that the mileage is actually lower than I thought. Thanks for your interest, Jim.
