Please feel free to ask any questions about the car so you’ll be satisfied after buying it. 1978 Datsun 280Z coupe I bought this car in 2003, in Las Vegas. It has been registered and driven at least a couple of days weekly since then. There have been many hours of replacing or repairing parts, cleaning, driving, and enjoying this car since then. In January 2007 I had the engine professionally overhauled at Petaluma Auto Works, in Petaluma, California after finding a defect in the original head, which was replaced with a solid ’78 head during the complete rebuild. A new heater core was installed in December 2008. The only systems that are inoperable on the car are the rear window defroster and the clock. The maintenance file with receipts goes with the car, as well as the 1978 Factory manual, and fitted Technalon car cover. The car has remained mostly original. However, Motorsport Auto, as well as Nissan has been a major source of parts. Carpet sets, upholstery, headliners, badges, and countless other parts were acquired less with cost in mind than necessity and desire. This car has always been strong running, reliable transportation for me. It lights up first time, every time. This car often gets many compliments for its overall condition from random strangers. Not to mention it likes to be driven like the healthy Z it is. NOTE: This car was previously listed on ebay and sold. The buyer didn't have the ability to buy the car, which forced me to keep it off the market for weeks, and cost both ebay and myself trouble and money.
