WORLD CLASS! MUSEUM QUALITY! The automobile offered here is a 1924 Buick touring, Model 24-4-35. It is world class, museum quality and has won the coveted best of show at the Sloan Museum 2 years running. It was Doctor owned - and part of his estate. It has had the quality and care known only to the worlds best automobiles. Buick…. one of the most important and dramatic chapters in automotive history. Buick laid the foundation for the birth of General Motors. The Buick name has adorned 40 million motor vehicles over more than a century. The Buick name has been visible from its very beginning. Famous people flocked to be part of this car; names we all recognize like Nash, Chevrolet, Durant, Sloan, Chrysler, Marr and dozens of others. By the early 1920's, the Buick marquee had a reputation as one of the world’s elite automobiles- in terms of power, reliability, value and style. All kinds of leaders were driving Buicks - from the King of England to the last emperor of China, to the sultan of Johor. This was no accident. Alfred P. Sloan commented, Buick succeeded because "it had the management of stars." The Buick name has also been very visible in entertainment. Among many examples: A 1940 Limited Phaeton is in the famous airport scene with Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca. Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman drive a 1949 Road Master convertible cross country in Rain Man. Stephen King places a 1954 Buick at the center of one of his horror stories, from a Buick Eight, and somewhere out there is the music video, Aliens Ate My Buick. I drive this car every chance I get. People associate it with fame and fortune. Countless pictures have been taken, along with requests to have their picture taken. Onlookers always make the same comment, "beautiful". It is a happy time owning something almost no one else has. The car starts on a dime and goes through the gears just like it should. All of it is in original or near original condition, and it runs like it did 86 years ago. The original 1924 Reference Book, all tools and grease gun go with the car. They are worth their weight in gold. This is a best value car. Its condition requires countless dollars and time to bring it up to this standard. It has the optional rear stoplight, and every light works. The gages work. The combination side view mirror, spotlight is a most interesting feature, and it also works. The car even has a dash light and, of course, it works. There are many close up pictures for you to enjoy and study. Please notice its marvelous interior. It simply is in pristine condition. All the way from under the dash and its firewall to the floors and especially, the rear floor. I took most of the pictures without the rear carpet in order to show its excellent condition. The upholstery is flawless and very comfortable. The steering wheel is a work of art. It is like new. Please notice the tires and wheels. Nothing could be finer. The two tone body with black fenders and subtle yellow pin stripe is a perfect combination. It sure compliments the shiny black interior. The engine purrs just like a kitten. Everything is in place, all of the factory plates, numbers and associated instructions are mounted in their original positions. The factory original oil can rests in its original holder. The original leather fan belt tells the story. This is a great automobile. The compartment is, as the rest of the car in world class condition. The odometer reads just 5,000 miles. It is not my intent to mislead you in any direction. Ebay requires me to show miles. I have no way of verifying; however, the previous owner stated the miles to be original. The car looks the part. This automobile deserves the best home. It is a lifetime investment, a treasure to be certain. It can be driven and enjoyed. If you like to show class, this is the right car. I do not know where its new home will be. Possibly a showroom, a collector, a museum, another country or some one who just wants an opportunity to own a once in a lifetime Buick. The best to you and yours. MY THOUGHTS I did my best to present this vehicle to you just the way it is in real life. It will look great in the finest garage and compliment any collection. Don't miss your opportunity to own it. Soon these icons will only be remembered, they will be gone – held and treasured by just a few. Welcome to the WONDERFUL WORLD OF CLASSIC CARS.
