We are the original owner of this BMW, 8 years ago it had an electrical short behind the radio while my wife was driving. The damage was not even visible but the insurance company was afraid of wiring issues and totaled the car. We bought the car back from the insurance company because it was such a great car and we didn’t want to see it go. We had the wiring repaired and the car ran & drove good but decided not to mess with registering a salvage car and left the car sitting in a southern California garage for the past 8 years. The car has been started, driven occasionally and maintained, not just parked and ignored. We are selling this car because we have no need for it and need the parking space. The car only has a 110k miles on it and still has the factory installed floor mats inside!. The leather seat are a little worn but in good shape without any cuts. The interior (dash/console/steering wheel/gear lever/door panels, etc) is in good shape and its not missing anything other than the radio (hood is scratched and couple of small door dings). This car was maintained and serviced on regular basis with oil & filter change every 3000 miles. It had the BMW inspection 1 & 2 done according to BMW guidelines and a major $3900.00 service at 75000 miles including new timing chain, valve adjustment and gasket. 6 months ago I had the spark plugs changed and new water pump installed, had the coolant flushed and replaced, oil/filter changed to test and make sure the car still runs ok. The last I checked, the car had the following issues: AC needs recharge Front end bushings Radio SRS needs inspection Some dash lights do not work The car has had the following UPGRADES Bilstien shocks & struts (life time warranty) ($700.00) H&R sport springs (life time warranty) ($300.00) Racing Dynamics Upper tie bar ($300.00) Racing Dynamics Complete cat back stainless steel exhaust system ($2200.00) Racing Dynamics Rear Spoiler ($300.00) Dinan Engine & transmission performance chip ($1000.00) K&N reusable air filter Cross drilled rotors F/R 16” wheels with good tires If you want to buy this car and register it, you are responsible to find out what needs to be done, we have no idea and are selling this car as a PARTS CAR.
