You are bidding on a 1988 Chevy 3500 Cab and Chassis with a steel flat bed. We are the second owner, the truck has been used a service truck on our farm for approximately 10years. The trucks exterior body is solid, there is some rust mainly at the cab corners, the hood is dented in front. When we first purchased the truck, the floor boards were in bad shape. So we cut out the floor boards and installed new floor pans and also Line-x'ed the floor boards and under the seat. Also when the truck was purchased it was painted and therefore the paint is about 10 years old. The interior of the truck is showing its age, the arm rest, the dash and the seat is worn. The instrument gages, windshield wipers, turn signals, trailer brake control, dome lite, head light, break lights, and back up lights all work. The AC does not work. The Heater does work. The truck is very mechanically sound. We put a new motor (Chevy 350) in and it has 35,000 miles on it, we also put a new transmission in and it has 30,000 miles on it. We just put a new rear end (ring and pinion gears 4/56) in and it has less than 5,000 miles on it. The truck overall has 155,000 miles on it. The truck is very mechanically sound, because we used it frequently so we had to have it in tip top shape. The tires have between 40 -50% rubber . The front tires are Dunlop steer tires and the rear tires are Goodyear Wranglers. The bed is 10 years old and does have rust on it. The bed has a 5th wheel plate in the middle, however we never have used the 5th wheel plate. The truck also has a reese hitch, pintle hitch and 7 way rv plug. The truck has had bedside tool boxes on it. We have removed the tool boxes but they are for sale if anyone wants them, they will bolt back on very easily. Included with the truck is weatherguard under body tool boxes as shown on the pictures. The additional leaf springs have been added to make the truck heavy duty. Overall the truck is in very good mechanical shape, this would make someone a great work truck.
