Vehicle Detail

Original 350 V-8 Correct Buick engine, never been torn into repair or replace interior components. Purchased August 2008 on eBay from 1st owner in Bulverde, Texas (north of San Antonio) Trailered it to Texas City, Texas. Immediately started to make it roadworthy. It does not burn oil, but does drip it a little bit! All glass is perfect...really! All windows roll up and down perfectly. Power Steering is super easy. Door locks need to be replaced, but have the original keys. I have a new set of door locks and trunk lock with keys that go with the car. Clear title in my name. NEW: Muffler and tailpipe 4/16/10 Texas inspection 4/2011 Texas Tags due 8/2010 Drum Brakes replaced-all 4 drums (not turned, but replaced) wheel cylinders 8/2008-they are touchy, though! 4 new Tires 10/2008 (Original Buick full-face hubcaps) Pioneer CD, MP3, iPod Am-Fm Stereo, professionally installed, custom indash (Fry's Electronics) Jensen Coaxial Speakers Carpet, headliner, front seat Trunk weatherstripping replaced Front windshield-correct tint 2/2010 Fuel-sending unit, belts. Master Cylinder-Brakes 8/2008 Top and bottom radiator hoses REPLACED/REPAIRED: Radiator 8/2008-pulled and cleaned-done right by Mr. McLain's Radiator shop in Texas City Fuel Tank-pulled, cleaned, replaced-done right by Henry at Advantage Kar Care-T.C. Starter, battery PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE Automatic Transmission serviced with new fluid, gasket, filter, and module-Snider's Transmission Regular oil changes PROBLEMS: A/C & Heater-no worky-fan does not blow (to be honest, I have not troubleshoot the problem) Rust on right rear window Vinyl Top needs replacing, if you wanted to replace it. Stitching on front driver's seat slowly coming apart Rearview lighted mirror won't tighten up (slants down whilst driving!) Front Grill needs replacing-5 out of 6 studs broken (normal) Paint job done by an amateur-needs repainting Even though brake drums, shoes, caliper, Master Cylinder and fluid has been replaced, the brakes are touchy This 1971 Buick Skylark is roadworthy, Texas inspected, and tagged. It needs nothing to drive. It is ready to go! On Jun-13-10 at 07:59:28 PDT, seller added the following information: I'm sure everyone has taken notice to the line-up of the hood to the fenders...usually if a car has been hit, which this one has not, it is really hard to get it right, as to the doors, fenders, trunk, and hood to have even lines. If you would like to come by and drive the car and live locally, no problem. Next question...will it drive to Dallas, El Paso? I don't know...the fartherest I've driven it was to Beaumont, Texas and back the same day. With the windows down and music coming in loud and clear, the Buick handled very well.On Jun-14-10 at 23:47:12 PDT, seller added the following information: I also have the CD of over 600 pages of the Buick Skylark and other Buick cars and more of the Service Manual, Parts, and restoration that will go with the car... Clarification on the door locks...the original key opens perfectly the driver's door, hence the passenger door-the key goes in, but does not unlock. The trunk key is correct and opens the trunk, but not very well. That is why I purchased the correct GM locks and keys for the 2 doors and trunk, but did not change out.
