Hello all, I have listed for sale one 1997 Audi A4 2.8L Quattro. I got this car as a fixer upper from a friend to make a good daily driver out of it but just don't have the time to repair it with all my other projects I have going on at this current time. The car stalled on him one day and would not restart. The engine does turn over and has good compression but no spark ( Could be either the coils, ICM, crank sensor or cam sensors, the VW dealer will Diag it for $95.00). The fuel pump is also coming on and has fuel pressure at the fuel rail. Everything electrical inside the car works great, all door locks, windows, sun roof, heated seats, ext. Has Leather interior and an aftermarket Pioneer CD player installed in it. The car is missing the black plastic piece of molding on the drive-side door, has a small dent in the front bumper cover (see picture) and also has a dent in the rear passenger side door (see picture), Has a crack in the front windshield. It also has a set of mismatch rims as he kept the aftermarkets ones he had on it when I got it. This would make a great daily drive with a little TLC.I do have all of the original paper work that came with the car. Car new in 1997 was $34,465.00. Car has clean Title. Same car as Volkswagen Passat. On Jun-11-10 at 15:27:46 PDT, seller added the following information: Update: Had some time to look at the car, the injectors are getting the proper signal from the computer which pretty much rules out the crank and cam sensors, the computer is also putting out the proper voltage to the coil packs. It really leaves me to believe that the igniter is bad and the cause of the no start problem. On Jun-11-10 at 16:46:45 PDT, seller added the following information: Update: Inspected the igniter (Ignition control Module) and found a crank in the plastic cover. This could have caused moisture to enter the ICM and caused it to fail. This could be the reason for the no spark condition.
