Here is a absolutely drop dead gorgeous, 1980 Porsche 911 SC that is in very nice condition inside and out. This is a totally solid Arizona car that is a blast to drive. It is a very clean, unmolested car that has been very well kept over the years. This is 1 of only about 1900 911SC Targas produced for US sales in 1980! This car has lived in Tucson, AZ its entire life and was bought new on March 16, 1981 at Bob Lewis Porsche Audi in Tucson, AZ. This Targa had an original MSRP of $29,150 all the back in 1980! This is a true 2 owner car which was sold from a Professor at the University of Arizona to one of his graduate students. The car is in nicely restored condition with one repaint and its original 2993cc drive train which is definitely something you do not see everyday. There is nothing cooler then a driving vintage Porsche! The following is a list of options as this 911SC is currently equipped: -3.0L SOHC Flat Six Cylinder Engine -Type 935 Five Speed Manual Transmission -Original Fuchs 16" Aluminum Rims -Pirelli Sport Performance Radial Tires -Factory Folding Targa Top -Ice Cold A/C -Leather Bucket Seats -5 Gauge Dash with Tachometer -Power Antenna -Power Windows -Power Mirrors -Aftermarket Kenwood AM-FM CD Player -Space Saver Spare with Original Tools -Etc..... The exterior of the car is finished in the gorgeous color of Grand Prix White. Overall the paint looks excellent with only a few small flaws and has a beautiful luster. The body is totally solid and is as straight as an arrow, showing no evidence of body work or accidents. All door gaps appear to be factory original and correct. Overall the underside is completely solid and rust free as any Arizona desert car should be. All the weather stripping on the car is soft and supple. The factory Targa top seals up nicely and the vinyl is in excellent condition with only one 1/2in repair and seals perfectly! The car is riding on the original 16" staggered Fuchs wheels. The tires are 16" performance directional radials and are like new. The car also has had the torsion suspension lowered to Euro height for better handling as well as had a front strut tower brace added which really make this handle like a race car. These things are easily reversed if so desired. The very nice factory black interior is mostly original and looks excellent. The seats, door panels, carpet, and headliner all look perfect and really set the car off. The front bucket seats are full German leather and were just recovered with correct perforated German materials at a cost of over $2,000 dollars! All the gauges and lights work as they should. The original radio and speakers were replaced with a high dollar Kenwood sound system with iPod hookup that sounds great. All the courtesy lights as well as all the running lights work as they should. Also the lights, horn, turn signals, defroster, and even the lighter work. The A/C blows ICE COLD! All the glass and rubbers look excellent. Mechanically, this 911 is in excellent condition! Anyone who knows Porsche knows that these early 80's Porsches are regarded as the best years to own. The engine compartment is clean as a whistle and shows how well this car was kept. The motor is also very tight and doesn't leak. The car was given a clean bill of health and I was told the motor has excellent leakdown compression and passed emissions with flying colors! Both the Engine and Trans are factory numbers matching. The suspension is tight and true and handles as a Porsche should. The car easily cruises at Autobahn speeds well over 120 mph. The odometer reads a bit over 68,000 miles, which is certified to be original, as well as documented by the Arizona title and service booklet. All systems work and the car does not over heat and is a true pleasure to drive. It has also been upgraded with a few performance goodies like the MSD Blaster coil, MSD 9mm Blaster plug wires, and a K&N air filter in the air box. The Air Conditioning was just serviced and had a new compressor installed and blows Ice Cold. This little diamond and is ready for the next cruise night or car show. One of the nice things about this 911 that you don't find in most cars is the complete ownership history. The paperwork which comes with the car shows the original purchase dealer in Tucson, AZ. The original owners manual, original service book, custom Porsche cover, and original floor mats are included. The bonnet is in excellent condition and still retains all of its factory carpeting as well as the space saver spare with the original jack and tool pouch.
