This CBX was stored in a storage building, sitting under a blanket for years. The bike was pretty much forgotten about until about 6 months ago. I bought it (for way too much money) and resurrected it. All the things that could happen to a bike that was sitting a long time, happened to this bike. Brakes turned to crud, (that was the worst problem) the carbs caked with varnish etc etc. The good news is the motor is fine. The owner said he would kick it over a few times when he was in the storage building and thought about it...a couple three times a year he guessed.I decided I was going to get it to bring it back to life again and to get her good looking again and running...... on a budget. Since I don't have a motorcycle fountain of youth, I had to put a lot of time, effort and more money into the project. So here she is in all her glory, hope you like her. I had the tank, front fender, side covers and rear cowl professionally painted by Adrians Customs in San Antonio, and I have to say he did an awesome job. The black paint is flawless and beautiful. No dents, dings scratches at all on the painted surfaces.....Looks new! The exhaust is solid and has no holes or flaws. It has been painted black to go with the other Black theme on the bike. It's in OK shape but the paint job on the pipes are amatuer at best. The graphics are aftermarket CBX and applied on after the paint and clearcoat. The engine has been blacked out. The seat is new and the chrome plastic trim has been adhered with emblem glue and should stay put but no guarantees. I went through the carbs and cleaned them and adjusted to the best of my ability. It starts and runs really nice, the pipes sound awesome and it idles at 1100rpm smoothly... but I would bet a professional carb sync would make it run even better. The brakes have all been redone and work well. All electronics work as they should as far as I can tell. Lights, horn, turn signal, warning/neutral/brake light etc work. The tires are over 10 years old and although they still have tread and hold air but they do show some age cracks and for safety reasons I would replace them soon. All in all a very nice "customized" CBX. My reserve is low. I just need to move it quickly as I have another project demanding more money and attention.Check my feedback and photos closely and bid what you think its worth.
