Up for auction today is a 1997 FORD F250 ~ 7.3L TURBO POWERSTROKE DIESEL 4X4 EXTENDED CAB TRUCK with a 8-INCH SUPERLIFT!! This type of FORD TRUCK is a much sought after vehicle for the engine alone & you just don't see them around very often! First, let me start off with saying that this truck has a low RESERVE of $5000 & I want to tell people that because MANY choose not to bid if they feel the reserve cannot be met. Now , onto the truck! This is the most mechanically sound vehicle you will ever own! The DIESEL engine is as smooth as it can be! Starts on a dime without missing a beat!! There is a problem with the truck though & I am not sure what it is exactly. I was leaving work in it, as I do every single day & it was tight when turning to the left. I then stopped at the BUREAU OF MOTOR VEHICLES to pick up a book for a CDL license & I turned the truck off. When I came out & started it back up & went to leave, the truck was VERY difficult to turn to the left. This involves the LEFT turn only. I replaced the POWER STEERING PUMP that day & that DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. This just happened 2 weeks ago & the NEW power steering pump is still on the truck. A week prior to this happening, I had to replace a TIE ROD END BAR & that was on that Friday. The truck sat ALL weekend at home & the turning LEFT problem happened that following Monday. So, I am not sure if that has something to do with the issue or not. And, I am not so sure if something just needs adjusted & NOTHING be wrong with it at all. I have been told this could be in the gearbox , the steering box, a pitman? arm may need adjusted , something else may need adjusted. I DON'T KNOW. The truck CAN BE TURNED to the left, as I drove it home that day & was about 25 minutes from home, but something IS WRONG & it is DIFFICULT to turn! I have had to take a lower paying job, farther away & I do not have the extra money to put into this truck or to make it what I want it to be. I have drove this back & forth to work since 2006 & now I just need a smaller truck to get me to where I need to be. I know this truck is worth more than that, the engine alone is highly desired & nothing is wrong with that! But I do know something is wrong with the turning & I do not have the money or the time to fix it. I want somebody out there to enjoy this truck 1/2 as much as I have!
