This good looking 2004 Chevy Tahoe Z71 is in great shape and runs even better than it looks. A Z71 by default will have stiffer and heavier duty shock absorbers all around. High capacity air filter. And it will also have a Locking Rear Differential standard. A Standard GM truck will have light duty shock absorbers all around, and will have a Limited Slip Differential standard. The Locking Differential makes it so that if you are driving Off-Road and your wheels start to slip in the rear, instead of spinning the tire that has the least resistance (and therefore sending you nowhere) the wheels will lock together and maximum torque/power will be sent to the 1 wheel that has traction. In a normal Tahoe, you'd be stuck until you put it into 4wd. And even then you'd have a harder time without a locking differential than with a locking differential. Most people, who tow a lot, especially boats, will opt for the Z-71 package because of that locking rear differential. It really helps when pulling something out of the water on a wet boat ramp.
