I am selling my 1991 Alfa Romeo 164. I purchased it to do some West Coast travelling this summer, but it is not going to work for me. The car has lived in Arizona all of it life after purchased. No rust on the nice body. The paint is OK with touch-ups in some places. Nice original wheels. Very nice dashboard. Good headliner. Good glass side and rear glass. It has all of the original manuals, spare tire and wheel, and tool kit. Newer battery. Starts everytime. The engine runs smoothly. The transmission shifts very well. The previous owner stated to me in writing that the engine and clutch was rebuilt about 30K miles ago at right around 200K. Nice "Anza" style exhaust system. Sounds great! This Alfa has most of the luxury options available that year. It does NOT have a sunroof. THE BAD: The tires will need to be replaced soon. The windshield has a good sized "hit" spot. The leather on the driver's seat is split and dried. There is a leaking fuel injector. It produces a heavy gasoline odor in the car when driving. . There is an substantial oil leak around the timing chain cover area. This would be a wonderful inexpensive Alfa 164 for someone who is a mechanic and can repair the injector and oil leak with ease. There is NO RESERVE on this auction. The car is sold strictly in AS-IS, where -is condition. There are NO warranties implied or expressed. There is a $300.00 deposit due with-in 48 hours of the end of the auction via PayPal. The full balance is due via Certified Bank Check in ten days. The automobile can be picked up once the check has cleared my bank. It is the full responsibility of the winning bidder to have the car shipped or pick it up in Gold Canyon, Arizona. 85118.
