1971 Opel Gt Very rare and in excellent condition. Imported by Buick from 1969-1973. Most of these cars are a pile of rust. This is my 10th Opel GT so please call me and ask me lots of questions. This car was built oin 2005. A donor 1987 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe was used for most of the drive train. The top end was rebuilt and a Hybrid T3-T4 turbo was added. It is running about 18Lbs of Boost using 110 Octane. T-5 worldclass transmission and all wheel disc brakes from the ford were added. It also has the 8.8 rear end. 4 point roll cage with racing harnesses. Aftermarket fiberglass front air dam, reinforced with steel tubing. This car ran in the 2005 and 2006 Grassroots nationals in Gainesville. It has a minor feature, complete with Photo and track times in the Grassroots magazine. 12.8 sec at 120 mph. This car has been completely skinned out on the inside. No chunky monkey here. All non-esentials were removed to keep the weight down. I have most of the hardware in boxes but there is no upholstery. I was hoping to turn this back into a daily driver, but it's too much fun to drive it on the streets just the way it is! It has a current registration and insurance. It has an antique license plate and you wont have to worry about emissions tests, it's pre 1973. I have a spare T5 tranny, 2.3L Longblock Turbo engine, Full set of Slicks (well worn), Rear Drag Radials (30% left), complete set of rims, and a few boxes of Opel and Ford parts that are included in the sale.
