Vehicle Detail
I purchased this truck a little over a year ago to drive and to take to the local car shows and cruise nights with my sons to be part of the classis car experience. It has been great. We have just about finished restoring a 69 Nova and will be showing and driving that this year. We have decided to sell this truck and use the money to finish our Nova. The truck is spretty much the same as it was whem I purchased it. Since the pics were taken we installed a set of ridgid Edelbrock valve covers and changed the oil and plugs to get come father/son time but it really did not need it. This is a good solid truck and is painted HOT ROD BLACK. The frame has been coated with Por-15. The engine is a great running, mild built 350 SBC, wth an Edelbrock intake, and Holley carb, It has a little over 5000 miles on it and it's TH400 trans was rebuilt at the same time. The side marker lights have been shaved and it has a fiberglass cowl hood. I have a set of rust free original GM fenders and an original GM rust free steel hood if you want to go with that look. It has a full lenght great sounding exhaust. The truck looks good and always draws a crowd at the cruise nights. This is a greataffordable Antique Truck and the perfect classic vehicle to drive, work on, take to the shows and cruise nights as our family did. The winner of this auction is resposible for any shipping costs, I will be glad to help if you need to have it shipped, please contact me ahead of time if possible. The truck has a Clear Illinois Title and I will provide a Bill of Sale.On Jun-01-10 at 11:10:12 PDT, seller added the following information: It looks like these pictures will open to the larger size, if there is any other pics you need let me know. My youngest son graduated from High School this year so I let him drive the truck to school for the last few weeks, we changed the Pro Street intake setup as showed in the smaller pic to a 14" air cleaner. Both are included in this auction and go with truck. I had a question asking about rust so I will answer it here also. There is a small rust thru area on the pass. side bed wheel well. That is the only place that we have found. There is some light surface rust at the outside end of the bumpers where I think the bumper was littly tapped but there is no evedence on the bumper just where the edge of the bumper flexed and touched the bed edge. I.m assuming it happened in the School park lot. The truck has alum. center line rims with very good tread on the tires. I do have a new set of tires mounted on older steel rims with the COPO hub caps that we would switch to for a few of the cruise nights. You can choose the set you want. I had a question about any other related items I might have. I did purchase a 72 about 5 years ago and my boys and I took it down to the frame to start a restoration. We did not get very far before we found a Nova and decided we wanted to restore that instead. Over the years I have sold off some of the parts form that 72 C-10 but still have most of them. The Nova restoration took a little longer to do so we bought the completed 72 C-10 to have until the Nova was ready. These additional C-10 items are not included in this auction unless we talk and agree ahead of time, but would be available for purchase. All are for a 72 C-10 and original GM..... steering wheel and col., second insturment cluster with working gauges, grill with lights, bumpers, brakets, core support, brake parts, gas, brake pedal, etc. Please call 815 993-0363 for more info Thank you, Steve
