I bought this 1985 BMW 735I from a charity auction (on the internet) with the intentions of restoring it, however, the wife does not think that I need anymore toys for my collection. I am currently in South Dakota and the vehicle is in Dover Delaware at my home I just recently purchased. I am military and received orders to Dover and will be moving to Dover in June. I located the prior owners on the internet and called them to get more information on the car. The couple that owned it lives in New Jersey and they are in their 60's. They said they sold it because they bought a brand new car. The lady I spoke with said that they only averaged about 5000 miles a year with the vehicle and all servicing and maintenance was kept up and completed on time. They owned the vehicle for 9 years. They said the car does run good and would make a good daily driver. If you look at the picture with the motor, you can tell the vehicle is running because the fan is spinning. The gentleman that owned it prior to them used it as a company car and also took very good care of it. The following information is what they gave me. Other than this information, this is all I know because I have not seen the vehicle in person. The tires have approximately 15,000 miles on them. The top end of the motor was rebuilt about 4 years ago and they said the car always started and ran great. I also had the guy that towed it to Dover for me check it out and he told me that it runs great and should be a good car, especially for someone that is looking for an older BMW. He was amazed that the vehicle only has 144,000 miles on it since the car is 25 years old. He was joking with me and told me he almost took the car home with him because he really liked it. This vehicle has a sunroof and is loaded with leather. Interior is in great condition as you can see in the pictures. The 735I is a very comfortable driver. As mentioned before, I have not seen this car in person because I bought it on the internet and had it delivered to Dover so this vehicle is being sold as is. The lady currently staying in my home at Dover has the keys. I have the vehicle title/information with me in South Dakota and will forward it to the winning bidder. A $250 non-refundable deposit is due with 24 hours after close of auction. The remaining amount of the vehicle must be paid within 7 days. If not paid in full within 7 days, the vehicle will be re-listed. I will accept payment by paypal or personal check. Check must clear before I will allow the vehicle to be taken.
