I am a large collector of fine vintage automobiles and will not own one with wavy sides and this car is no different ..... car has perfectly straight sides and the body is in magnificent condition for a 40 year old automobile!! Put a nice new paint job and this car will be like new again!!!You'll look long and hard for one this nice!!! I am at my summer home in Western New York and am out of room in my barn for my car collection. One has got to go...thus, the reason for parting with this Stunning Eldorado. You can see in the photos she still has a great sheen to her black paint. We just had her detailed and the sides of the car reflect like a mirror! For someone seeking a classic personal luxury car that has GREAT performance, good braking, and EXCEPTIONAL handling, the 1970 Eldorado is worth considering. They are great road cars and are more adept in most situations than many people give them credit for. In addition to being a true Milestone Society car, these Eldorados are just now beginning to garner the respect and consideration they deserve in the collector car market. This car is equipted with the legendary 500 cu. in. 500 hp engine with plenty of get up and go...and shifts smoothely from gear to gear. The car runs very quiet and engine runs smoothely. This fine automobile drives like a luxury Cady should. I would not hesitate to drive it cross country..it just drives and performs that well. I just took it on a trip 250 miles and it drove perfectly. WITH ONLY 48,000 ORIGINAL DOCUMENTED MILES...THIS CAR IS A RARE FIND!! The glass is all good... power windows work but do more than likely need a new regulator. Car has climate control and may need to be charged or serviced. Interior is in very nice condition with its black ulpholstery and carpet! Dash is in great condition ..as is the headliner. Exterior of this car is in magnificent condition for being over 40 years old. This fine luxury automobile is in 100% original condition with only one repaint 20 years ago. This car could be a $15,000 car with a new paint job. Paint is showing its age and in need of a new facelift. The car is accident free and all body parts line up perfectly and it is virtually rust free aside from very small area at the bottom of drivers lower quarter. An easy fix, as it is mostly surface rust. Sides of the car are as straight as an arrow with no previous body work that we can determine. To many, the 1970 Eldorado is the best of the series. The engine alone makes it stand out, but many feel the styling looks better as well. A redesigned grille had a cross-hatched insert similar to last year's model, but not as fine, and wider horizontal blades were spaced out every inch or so to give it more sparkle and to emphasize the V-shaped center section. A thicker chrome molding surrounded the grille, making it stand out a bit more than the 1969 grille, and giving it more prominence than in the past. Cadillac introduced a winged V emblem on its cars for 1970, and instead of the metal emblem used on other models, the Eldorado emblem was molded into the clear plastic turn indicator lens1970 Cadillac Eldorado: The 8.2 Litre Sports Car 1970 was the fourth and final year of the body style originally introduced in 1967. Each year, Cadillac updated the Eldorado to give it a fresh look, but the changes for 1970 were more than cosmetic. Under that long hood debuted a massive new 500 cubic inch V-8 engine. It developed 400 horsepower and had a massive 500 lb-ft of torque. Despite its size, the Eldorado was actually quite agile. Combine this much horsepower and torque with front wheel drive, automatic level control, and variable-ratio power steering, and it's really surprising how quickly you can throw this car around a corner. The tires may complain, but they will hold the road pretty well.
