Up for sale is a really amazing "Survivor" 1964 Plymouth Valiant Signet 200 2-Door Hardtop Sport Coupe. This was the top of the line Valiant for 1964. It is a true hardtop coupe with NO centerpost when you roll down the side windows. It is equipped with sthe optional "Super 225" slant 6 engine. This was the largest engine available in the Valiant series in 1964. When the Barracuda came out late that year, you could get a 273 V8 in it. This Valiant also has deluxe interior with bucke seats, automatic transmission with push-button drive (last year this type of shifter was available), full wheel covers, and deluxe push button radio. All features on this car are in good working order. This car is an amazing time warp! I am only the 3rd owner, and it only has 69,000 actual miles since new! It has always been garaged. It has all its original body panels, and I can't find any rust anywhere! The frame rails, floor boards, and unibody are also all straight, original, and rust-free! In fact, this little car still has about 90% of its original paint! It still holds a great shine, and the car is straight as an arrow. I can find no evidence of crash damage or repairs. The chrome and bright work are all bright, shiny, and straight. The original interior is also in great shape! There are no rips or tears in the seats, door panels, headliner or carpet. Interior is a very attractive 2-tone red with silver accents. Clearly Plymouth was trying to make this car look "upscale" compared to the Valiants you usually see. Also, the trunk compartment is immaculate with excellent original mat and paint. Again, it is not rusted. IMPORTANT: This car was last registered in Georgia. That state does not title cars as old as this. Ownership is transferred by giving the new owner the last registration for the car, and a bill of sale. That is how this car will be sold. This Signet drives just great! These "Slant" 6 engines and automatics had a reputation of being virtually "Bullet-Proof"! This one is no exception. It starts and runs well, does not leak, burn, or smoke. Car is very strong and smooth out on the highway. The great news is the fuel economy! I have been getting 21 MPG local driving, and on a trip this past weekend, I got 25 MPG! All this on regular 87 octane unleaded. Car has been very reliable for me. It has had all the normal things done that usually need to be done to an older car after sitting for awhile. It has had brakes, exhaust, battery, belts, hoses, tune-up, radiator redone, heater core, shocks, tires, and filters. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere! In fact, this past weekend I put 150 miles on it going to a car show and back, no problems or issues! It should be noted that un-restored "Survivor" cars are the up and coming thing in the vintage car hobby. A premium is placed on these rolling pieces of history. Remember, anyone can restore an old worn out car, but a car is only new and original once! If someone GAVE you a basket-case restoration project car, you could not turn it into this car for the amount of money you can buy this one for!
