Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1935 Ford 1/2 ton pickup. I have listed this item for my father. This cab is a close to rust free as you will find. Has a few small spots on rear cab bottom wear the floorboards meet the body. Cab corners, rockers, doors and lower cowl/firewall area has only surface rust. This cab is very solid. Someone started to sand on this pickup years ago and has made it look much worse than it is. As mentioned, the doors are very good with only surface rust. The windshield header is rust free and can be viewed in photos. Dash is complete and rust free. I am unsure if guages are operational. Windshield frame is in good condition with no rust. Winshield glass is cracked. Passenger side wiper hole has been filled. Side glass is missing, but regulators are there and roll up and down. Rear window is there along with garnish molding. Cab has two small holes that have been added on each side below the rear window. The holes are very minor, but need to be mentioned. Engine is a 1950-51 Ford Flathead. Engine runs, but is loud with no exhaust. Radiator is in good condition and is currently holding water. Front fenders have the standard cracks and dents for old trucks of this vintage. Fenders need a lot of work, but are steel and repairable. Hood is in good condition. Grille is in poor condition with lower end damage, but is not rusty. Grille does have original radiator cap and emblem. Frame has rust spot in rear passenger side that is quite common for these trucks. Rust spot can be viewed in the photos. Frame is otherwise in good condition. Suspension is original. The box and rear fenders are missing. Someone has fabbed some angle iron on rear of frame after the box was removed. Looks like they had some type of flatbead. Running boards have been cut off behind the cab What you see in the pictures is what you get. Please view the listed pictures to get a good representation of this vehicle. This truck would make an excellent restoration, street rod or rat rod project, or can be used for parts.
