Vehicle Detail

This is an early 1974 MGB (chrome bumper,) green with a tan interior. I have records dating back to the original owner in Southern California. I bought this car 3 years ago in Southern Cali, then drove it to Virginia in May '09, then moved it to Ohio in Sept. '09. It has been my daily driver, except for this past winter in Ohio.  The body is in great shape with solid metal, although a little bit of surface rust is starting to appear here and there courtesy of Ohio weather (I didn't drive it in the winter weather here, but I had no garage to keep it in)  Recent work includes new brake lines, a new Pertronix ignition, A-arm bushings (single piece bushing, used for the v-8 rather than the two piece original,) carb service and a few other minor things. Engine was rebuilt in Dec. 2001 (@44,480 miles) Compression test in August, '09 showed ~175 psi, each cylinder. The top is in fair, working condition, but has a small tear behind the driver. Rear screen is showing its age. The tonneau cover needs the zippers replaced. The paint is wearing a bit, although still looks good at 15 ft. Original color was English white. The original interior is in generally good condition, but is showing its age. No tears in the seats, no cracks in the facia, dash or doors. This car is a fantastic runner that has been a strong and reliable daily driver.  Good luck bidding.   On May-18-10 at 20:04:24 PDT, seller added the following information: EDIT: I just added pictures to better see the condition of the top, the bits of surface rust starting to show up, and the solid condition of the sills. Also to note is that this car has been de-smogged. Also with the car is the Bentley manual, the center armrest section (I preferred the look of the carpeted tunnel) and the bumper over-riders. On May-18-10 at 20:34:16 PDT, seller added the following information: EDIT #2: Going through the car's paperwork tonight, I see there is an error on the title that shows the mileage 161k. I fully believe this as an error, as going through the service records dating back to the original owner shows the mileage to be 61k, as the odometer reads. Sorry this wan't posted originally, but it is something I've just discovered. I'm glad this was done and posted before the reserve was reached and I hope the bidders are understanding. On May-19-10 at 18:53:33 PDT, seller added the following information: EDIT #3: Check out the Five new pictures added...I just got it back from the shop, having it buffed and detailed...wow what difference! This really makes me wish I could keep her. Good Luck! .
