Vehicle Detail

Beautiful MB SL500 with both tops. Hard top is black and has rear window defrost, soft top is tan and in good shape. The good- -Has both tops, and both in good shape. -Runs great, plenty of power and shifts smooth. -VERY clean original paint. -Tires have plenty of tread, and chrome wheels shine like new. -Power roll bar goes up and down nicely. -After market stereo and subwoofer kick nicely, and were installed nicely to not ruin the factory look of the car. -Turns heads like nothing else! The bad- -The A/C has a leak. I shot a can of 134a in it and it blew cold for a day, so everything does work, but the next day it was back to being warm. Could be an O-ring, could be a compressor, who knows. -The interior is a little on the rough side, the leather seats are worn and cracked. Nothing out of the ordinary for a car this age. -A couple times, the soft top did not want to come up for me. From what I've read about these cars, the hydrolics are solid and rarely fail, but the system utilizes a number of sensors and sometimes gets confused and just don't respond. When it's happened to me, I just played around with it or put the hardtop back on, and it corrected. I put it up and down dozens of other times with no problems. The whole system is operated by one button, and is really slick. You don't even have to latch the thing, it's all automatic. But it's quirky, so there you go. -The mesh inside the front air intakes just ahead of the doors is cracked on both sides. Took me a couple of days before I even noticed, not a big deal. -Tires thump a little until they get warmed up. Basically a great car for someone that likes to tinker around. This thing sold new for 90 grand, so it's a great oppurtunity to drive an amazing car for a fraction of the price. Sorry, I didn't think to snap any pictures of the soft top up when I had the hard top off, but it's there and looks fine. I would be happy to take some pictures of it or any other details and email them for a serious buyer. This is being sold by a car dealer. I sell classics and collectibles like this 100% AS IS. There will be no "dealer fees", just 15 dollars for the title department for the transfer. Sales tax will be collected at signing if applicable. We are in Ohio, and are required to collect sales tax for some states, and others you pay the tax when you get home. I will sell to Canada residents, but not to any other countries. Must sign paperwork at dealership. NO RESERVE. I started the auction low to avoid insertion fees.On May-18-10 at 08:53:21 PDT, seller added the following information: Sorry, forgot to add that intermittently the ABS and ASR lights come on while driving. Turn it off and back on, and it resets fine. My guess would be it has a speed sensor going out.
