Vehicle Detail
1982 Honda VF750C V45 Magna ***Unmolested Survivor***1st Year of Production*** Ready to Ride! Delivery Available No Reserve!!! General: Up for auction is a clean, mostly original 1982 Honda VF750C V45 Magna , in its original Candy Imperial Blue paint scheme . It is equipped with Honda's legendary liquid cooled, 750cc V-Four engine, smooth shifting six speed transmission and reliable shaft drive. As you can see from the pictures, it looks great, and best of all, it is ready to ride anywhere. It needs NOTHING! This bike would be right at home in any collector's garage and/or would make any rider a great and unique ride. Mechanical Condition: Although this is not a new motorcycle, it is in very good mechanical condition, and needs nothing but a new rider and a good home. It runs strong and shifts smoothly. It pulls with authority throughout the power band, while at the same time rewarding the rider with a very smooth and quiet ride. All of the suspension components work well, and the brakes are smooth and well-modulated. The clutch works fine with smooth engagement. There are no leaks apparent anywhere and the engine does not smoke at all. The tires have been recently replaced (less than 2000 miles) and the fork seals were also replaced about the same time. This evening I took the bike on a 62 mile test loop to make certain that it ran well and that everything is in good working order. I have nothing negative to report. The bike runs as it should, and all of its component systems work well. The only flaw that I found was that the "OD" indicator on the instrument panel is not working. This normally illuminates when the bike is shifted into 6th gear to indicate that the bike is running in an "overdrive" ratio . Cosmetic condition: As you can see in the pictures, the bike is in good cosmetic condition for its age. The painted components are in very good condition, with no major chips or scratches . See attached photo. The bike's chrome is in good but not perfect condition; expect some light corrosion and pitting on some of the chrome surfaces. There is also some oxidation on some of the aluminum surfaces. See photos. The original seat is in fair, but functional condition. Two seams on the rider portion of the seat have split, but have been closed with stitching. There is also a small three corner tear on the left rear surface of the seat, just ahead of the left rear turn signal. See photo. The left rear turn signal has been taped to help support the weight of the turn signal. See photo. Modifications: The motorcycle looks to be completely stock with the following exception: -The original hand grips have been replaced with aftermarket foam touring models. -A set of chrome engine guards have been installed. Folding highway pegs have been installed on the engine guards. -A Hondaline passenger backrest, specific to this model, has been installed. -The original equipment mufflers have been replaced with aftermarket, "turn out" style replacements. They are in good shape and don't seem to be any louder than the originals. Terms- Please read: Please contact me with any questions you might have BEFORE making your bid.
